Happy 9/11, y'all.
So how long do you think it will be until this is a Federal holiday?
Until schools are closed on September 11th, or the second Tuesday of September so we can close banks, post offices, run mass transit on a holiday schedule and cabbies can charge the holiday fee for picking you up. I'll get time and a half for working.
And, seriously, who doesn't love a good parade?
Really kids, never forget:
It still didn't have anything at all to do with Iraq until we made Iraq a fertile bed for al-Qaeda (which it was not at all before), the Bush Administration is still milking this memory of the loss of thousands of innocent lives and using them as dummies, the country is no safer just because we have to take our shoes off to get through security at Dulles now (in fact, I'm more worried about Tetanus than ever!), our civil liberties are being stomped in the name of a safety that will never exist, racism is becoming socially acceptable as a direct result of this administration's exaggerated measures to create a false sense of security.
While you're never forgetting:
Don't forget Abu Ghraib, don't forget Guantanamo Bay, don't forget innocent detainees (who just happen to be the wrong skin color or nationality), don't forget artificially inflated gas prices as a direct result of this administration's alarmist behavior, don't forget the creepy, creepy relationship that your war president has with the creepy, creepy House of Saud.
I wonder when they're going to start having 9/11 sales at Macy's. I just love Macy's.
If you want to really support our troops, demand an end to this mess and bring them home now.
