So I didn't.
I decided rather than waste the day I'd take a drive down to beautiful Camden New Jersey. I blew a couple tolls during the trip. Besides overdue bills, I love getting traffic tickets from the state police in the mail. I usually hide them from my wife like I did my report card from my mother while in high school.
After getting off the Camden exit
I stopped to do #1 at a Wawa. I was able to buy a frozen fruit drink and beef jerky with the money I saved on tolls. The cashier was totally vibing me. Giving me a wink as I left. Maybe my fly being wide open had something to do with it.
The City of Camden was just how I remembered it from last time I vistited.
Hasn't changed a bit.
I spent most of the day seeing all the sites.
I even got to a little of one of my favorite hobbies.
After calling it a truce, my battle with Crazy Legs had my shouders and wrists sore. Thank God I was able to buy some presciption pills from a doctor in an alley.
Starting to feel better I took some time to jump double dutch and write on the street with chalk with some children. Our drawings really drew a crowd!
I felt overall it was a good day to play hookey until I came back to my car to find it had been broken into. The bastard stole my radio! But he seemed to have left the Belle and Sebastan cd I was listening to on the seat.
*shrugs shoulders*
The drive back home sucked. There was a serious accident on the parkway that had traffic backed up for miles.
Taking a day off every once in a while is a good thing. As long as you do something productive with it rather than staying in watching Lifetime and Judge Judy.
Ah, i must check that marinade now.......
