I had a lovely bromantic evening this weekend with the man they call Sohmer, as his lovely wife hit up a bridal shower, the likes of which Im sure contained enough debauchery to satisfy even the deepest recesses of my mind. At least thats what Ive chosen to believe, and damn you if you think youre going to take it away from me.
Any way, we hit the town, got ourselves some fine chow and headed over to the Cinema Guzzo to catch a movie. First off, I have to say; the Guzzos do a damn fine job. They have the best theatre seats Ive every sat in, a bangin arcade and some TCBY. All things that are necessary for a decent movie-going experience.
Unfortunately, thats where the fun ended. We chose to go see Legion, or rather, Sohmer really wanted to see Legion. I, having no opinion one way or the other about the movie, went with it.
Legion might be the worst piece of crap Ive seen since GI Joe. The story is bad, the cast is bad, the acting is bad, the logic is bad, the special effects are bad, you name it, it was bad. There were so many times during the flick that I felt like I was watching a Rob Liefeld-drawn comic from the 90s. Nothing but big guns and gritty anti-heroes as far as the eye can see.
Normally, I can find at least one thing I like about a movie. Not in the case of Legion. I havent gone into much detail here about the specifics of what made the movie bad, but thats simply because I dont know where to begin, and you wouldnt have enough time to read them all. It was so bad; I started writing down names once the credits rolled so that I could pick out someone to punch.
Avoid this movie like the Apocalypse it does a poor job of trying to portray.
Its not all bad news in the world though, by the time you read this, I should be nervously listening to a phone ringing, and waiting for the one and only Kevin Smith to pick up on the other end. Hes a special guest on The Watchtower this week, and is something of a hero of mine, so I m very, very excited to get to chat with him. Its a hell of a way to start the week!!

Also, gonna agree with you on Legion. What a piece of trash! However, I wish that was the process for getting tattooed. Today, my arm says otherwise.
