Personal Security Concern...

Those of you who use apps, such as Instagram, Twitter, and similar apps for sharing photos...
We all know that this is the age of technology, and that there are so many ways of posting those selfies, or pics from shoots, or events, and such... from your phones or other mobile devices...
We also know that there can be some real creeps and weirdos out there, that may not have the best intentions, towards you, your friends, or your family.
With that being said--
Photo location tagging
When tagging photos with a location, it is possible for people to track the location to within a few meters (if not closer) simply by using Google Maps, or a similar mapping application. That information can be used by an undesirable to track you, stalk you, or worse. Map apps can even help them find a way to get to a given location via car, walking, city transit, and in some cases even livery services.
If you are repeatedly uploading these location tagged images from a place that you frequently visit, or from your home, you are essentially giving undesirables those address or your home address.
To avoid unwanted attention, or an unwanted, even perhaps dangerous encounter, do not upload from your home, place of employment, the gym, the corner store, etc.
If you feel that you must location tag a photo, snapshot, selfie, or other image, wait until you have left the area, or are about to, before uploading. That way even if an undesirable is nearby, you will have left the area, by the time the photo posts.
Do not upload location tagged photos from the same location repeatedly. When you do this, it triangulates the location more accurately. And that location can be located much more precisely, usually down to just a few feet.
Another way to avoid these things is to simply turn off location tagging completely.
I am not saying to stop uploading your photos, merely suggesting to use caution, and common sense when you do, because we love the content you upload, so please keep it coming!
