Oh wow, is the sky falling?
No, it just seems like it.
The end of my freshman year at college is almost over (THANKFULLY). Now is finals time (HELL). I've been studying and studying and doing homework that I hadn't done for my portfolio.
I did take a break from it all and went and visited a friend from home who was in the area visiting her family. She's getting married this summer and I'm her bride's maid so we had tons of planning to do. The fun part was going to different stores and registering for her wedding (you gotta go around scanning items that you'd want to get for wedding presents... basically shopping without getting anything lol).
It's frightening to think that isn't a lifetime away for myself. I'm not a little girl anymore... who knows when I'll grow up though. Heh.
I can't wait to go back home. This place isn't the type of place where you actually get to know someone and connect with them on a personal level. There's very few people I call friends here. Actually I'd limit it to my roommates and a friend I had from back home. What a big switch from the formally social butterfly I was back home.
I just feel so out of place here. I'm from the country(and I like it that way). I worked to earn scholarships and pay myself for college. These people here don't have a clue what eastern washington looks like, and their mommies and daddies pay for anything they could possibly want. Yet they cast judgments about everything (including eastern washington) and I'm sick of correcting them. bottom line -We don't see eye to eye.
Home will be a paradise. Coming back here in the fall will be easier because my boyfriend is moving over with me. I won't be alone. I won't have to handle this by myself.
