Nothing new really, just realized I haven't updated in a while....
Had a great weekend. Went to a fundraiser for a local theatre company on Val-day. They released a new comic book there as well. For the next three seasons they are going to produce a show (as one of their slots) that is part of a trilogy they are writing. The comic book is the story that takes place between the 2nd and third shows. Kind of a cool idea, if it takes off.
So, I won the raffle at the fundrasier as well. I got to play the dating game, which was kind of fun. Unfortunately, I know all of the girls. So I will end up going on a "friends-date" with the lucky bachellorette.
Because this IS an arts organization, our date is free admission to a local museum and dinner at a Lettuce Enteratin you, or similar. (Chicago reference.)
Q: SGChi or otherwise - What is your favorite local museum to take a date to?
A: I would have to say The Art Institue, because, well, come on, it is so expansive... Field museum doesn't have enough interesting stuff, you can only stare at the Tibetan stuff so long and for so many visits... Now if they rotated the collection more.... And besides, I already have a membership to the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art).
So, during the dating game, they gave me questions to read. My favorite response came from the audience.
ME: If money were no object, what would you buy me?
Bachelorette 1: A Prostitute. (Ummmm.... that's what you could come up with?)
Bachelorette 2: A Condo. (Practical, but, somehow lacking for the whole dating game idea...)
Bachelorette 3: A Theater. (Maybe a little obvious for me, but ...)
Audience member: Why would he want that, he's already got one!
ME: *Glow* Tee-hee. (So true, yet so not!)
Otherwise, Working............
