Its been a funny old week. Ive been in a bit of a tired, grumpy and stressed out mood most of the time which Ive hated. Its been a long time since Ive let myself feel sorry for myself. Sure I still moan about stuff but I havent really let myself feel particularly troubled by anything. There are still the times when things with my brother upset me and recently James has been on my mind it probably would have been a temporary thing but the same day I was thinking about him I was out and one of the songs that was played at his funeral came on which has kept me feeling kind of blue.
I do find it funny when people still tell me I over think/over analyse things. Im sure I still do from time to time but compared to how I used to be Sometimes I think Im missing something, like Im forgetting how to properly express myself. I dont miss tying myself up in knots though. I feel like Im finally finding some balance and not upsetting myself unnecessarily, because lets face it life is too short.
So, on the positive side, some of the things Ive enjoyed doing so far this year:
Getting to the cinema to watch these movies (and documentary)
Seeing this exhibition (although I only really found the history side of things interesting, not a huge fan of Byzantium art).
Getting to see the Lost and Found orchestra for free (but having to escape from a creepy guy).
Seeing Los Desterrados at South Bank and Green Note in Camden (and enjoying yummy veggie tapas)
And Fred Wesley and the New JBs at the Jazz Caf in Camden
