hi. just finished with a rather nice relaxing weekend and came back to (lovely) empty, clean and tidy flat. life is good.
Realised that my last journal comment made it sound like i didn't have a job - i do, i just don't work some days (mondays and tuesdays). It's a good job.
This weekend I:
Went shopping, bought ballgown.
Took panoramic pictures of a city
Visited relatives that live in the middle of nowhere and that i only see at Christmas. Found out that even my parents can't tell them apart.
Had yummy meal out in top restaurant with boyfriend (all official now) followed by relaxed house party
Played laser quest
Visited three art galleries in quick sucession. Found something i liked, wanted to show it to my mum, only to find that it isn't on the museums online catalogue - ['image not available']
Spent an evening at another family friends, playing old party games, including pictionary, and eating good wholesome food.
Ate two Christmas dinners (one with my mum, one with my mates)
Finished all my Christmas shopping and posted remaining cards
Went shopping in different city; wandered around old bookshop for a bit then went for another meal before heading home
Painted half a painting (ie started it but haven't done the details on top yet)
and
Helped my mum clear out a room to fit a bed in it.
I don't suppose you'd believe that'd be relaxing, but it really really was. I didn't do a single thing that i was solely responsible for, and i spent hardly any time on my own. It was beautiful. If only life was always like that.
Hope everyone else is winding down for christmas.
lots of love and christmas cheer,
Cat
