So, Happy Christmastime everyone. I know it's still a bit away from Christmas but I was just walking by my tree that I spend most of the day decorating and felt a bit...loving, nostalgic?...I was feeling a bit retarded today and felt I should wish everyone a happy Christmastime. Different from Christmas itself, this is the most difficult time to appreciate things when we all...

Had a kickass weekend! Visited some family and while I was there I made it to a release tournament for the new MTG set and saw/collected some cool shit at a hobby show. Also my scuf controller came in, which I used for 6 hours between Call of Duty and Destiny. I think my mental health should be good for a while now.

Even though It's only been a couple years since I was on this site it feels like an eternity. A lot has happened in my life, not so much progress, but shit has happened! Nevertheless, I will enjoy the pictures here, and especially the people I encounter.

Fitness Update:

I have been working out regularly for the past few weeks and started adding supplementary exercises. I started out with just boxing and skating; I added jumping jacks as a warm up and am mixing it up with speed walking/jogging with weights on each leg. Also I am doing shadow boxing, push-ups, and wrist rolls on boxing days and bicycle crunches and leg...

Just came back from my sisters place for some Texas Holdem with 8 other people. Damn that was fun, I did much better than I thought I would but my sis ended up winning. While I was there we did some yard sale shopping and I picked myself up an electric guitar. It didn't come with anything so when I go out to see the...

Felt like buying a movie through the Playstation Network but 20 bucks for a 1930s movie in HD seemed a bit much so I went with something cheaper. I downloaded MirrorMask and have been watching it nearly constantly for the past week. I like how it actually tells you how many times it's been played, in this case, almost 20 already. This movie has a...

Another nostalgic movie I watched again recently was "The Faculty." It's been a few years but it was fucking awesome when it first came out and it's still fucking awesome. I can't think of many horror movies made after it that compare. "The Cave" was similar in theme, the whole parasite thing, but "The Faculty" is much more relatable and has much more memorable characters. It's also kind of a throw-back to older alien movies like "The Thing". You don't know who to trust. It has the same type of "test" to rat out aliens but it brings a more modern look at it. Instead of the alien protecting itself from fire it's protecting itself from being dried out, ie. drugs. The are a ton of actors I recognize, Famke Janssen was hot as both the insecure and confident Ms. Burke, Elijah Wood, the T2 Terminator Robert Patrick, Salma Hayek, Josh Hartnett before his career inexplicably went into the gutter, even Jon Stewart (who was great in a horror flick) makes an appearance. The soundtrack was good as well. All in all, modern take on an old story, very relatable, great actors, and great music. What else could you ask for? I think it still holds up as a great horror movie.
