Well here is to a great February, its getting closer to spring!! So yesterday I was at Barnes and Noble, my usual weekend stop. I was checking out the mags when the newest issue of "Paste" jumped out at me. Now I usually don't stop at the music mags, but I decided to check em' out for a change. So anyway I am reading about this "Vampire Weekend" and decide to check them out on I-tunes. Wow, I really enjoy the sound, so of course I purchased it. I also purchased "Say Hi" of what used to be 'Say Hi to Your Mom". The latter just had a sound that I enjoy also. Where is this going, well I am not exposed to a huge music scene. I have a few non mainstream bands in my very small collection of music, but nothing I am going to run out and brag about. What few friends I have wouldn't know a indie song if it was a concrete truck driving through their living room. So I don't really have any exposure other than I-Tunes. "The Ettes" was the last album I purchased and that was because I seen them on the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"
Long story short.............I am musically ignorant!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! On a side note, it's f@#$ing snowing again........................
