I first looked into getting a tattoo around 1978 while in the US Navy but the timing was always off. It really boiled down to finding the right design, the right artist, and of course, having the money to do it! I left the Navy in 1986 and forgot about tattoos for a while. Fast forward 20 years... Following 9/11 I returned to active duty

I'm heading home to Texas at the end of this month. I'll miss Guam but it's time for a change. I moved here originally for scuba diving and to use Guam as a base to explore Micronesia. Great tattoos !!

Thanks :)  They were both done by George Tsiotsios at Medusa Tattoo in Crete.  The dragon was an original piece of art.  We spent longer on the design than I did in the chair :)  I got the tiger about a week later because every time I looked in a mirror, I just didn't feel "balanced" :))  The face of the tiger was done freehand.  George is an amazing artist!  I got both of these 2005.  I'm thinking now about what I'll get done next.  That's going to require finding another tattoo artist who I like.  I'm back in the US now and Crete is a bit far to go for a tattoo :))   I haven't ruled it out though ;)    http://www.medusatattoo.gr/
