Ok, you need to get of your ass and check these out...
First, I quit paying attention to videos about the same time that MTV did. Still, I have to say that the new video from the late Johnny Cash for the song "Gods Gonna Cut You Down, is fucking amazing. Their are a ton of cameos, everyone from Keith Richards Chris Rock. A great tribute and the song, a cover of a traditional spiritual, is one of Cash's best and I ain't getting paid to say that! Here's the link: http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/cash_johnny/artist.jhtml
Blast from the past time...If you have never heard it one of the best live albums of all time has got to be Joe Cocker's "Mad Dog and Englishmen" this is Cocker at his coked-up prime, with a little help from Leon Russell. The majority of his famous covers are on here including a ripping version of The Stones' Honkey Tonk Women that almost out dose the original. If you haven't heard it you're depriving yourself.
Post Election Music... Political Powerhouse Public Enemy has been quietly pumping out tons of new tracks and projects. One of particular worth is "Beats and Places," a CD/DVV that features some of P.E. most searing political opinions as well as a DVD of self-made music videos that outdo some of the million-dollar mainstream clips that fill the mainstream. In addition Flavor Flav has released his first Solo disc. Visit http://www.slamjamz.com/ for more info and a host of free downloadable tracks.
If you didn't vote you're a waste of breathable air....
