I have officially placed my seed order for my winter garden! Everything will be grown in containers on my enclosed porch that is pretty much all windows and gets full sun during the day. I ordered a bunch of veggies including lettuce, container tomatoes, bell peppers, celery, broccoli and cauliflower and also ordered some lemongrass to round out my herb garden. I ordered from Park Seed and was even able to find a 10% off coupon code with a quick search on google.
Now all I have to do is wait, well and prep my porch. I started clearing out my old tomato and eggplant plants as well as my excess mint and oregano. I swept and still need to vacuum but it's getting there!
All of the now dead veggie plants are going into my worm composting bin, which I actually need to get more redworms for.
I forgot how much prep work all this is! It will be worth it to have my own fresh produce in the middle of winter though...
