I walked around Bridgeville in the rain at night. Exploring. Walking down strange dark alleyways, through church courtyards, down railroads tracks, under bridges, around trees. Listening. You can tell so much about an area, its inhabitants, its history, its secrets, its voice, its cries, its sorrows, its beauty that lies mostly unnoticed, its gifts, its message - just by its soundscape. Ive lived here for 22 years, and am familiar with this area, and feel the land, it feels ancient and beautiful, always alive and aware and watching and nurturing. It wants to speak and communicate, people should work with it more often. I imagine this is the innate sensitivity the native americans had with their environment. I dont care if it sounds hippy-ish or new-age, I really dont give a fuck. Its just real. Well, back to the present, right here, right now. There is much to do. Integrate.

I am very tired, extremely busy, and completely blessed.

Well, we have a gig at the Rosebud in Pittsburgh, a big gig, on the 14th. And a two hour live set on a radio show on the 20th. I think we should cancel the one on the 14th at least, we are not ready yet. I dont see any point in continuing to perform until we are truly ready, and have the time to bring our personal ideas to each other and work them out as a group. It takes time. And I get the opportunity to play guitar and drums with this band, and my band members are awesome, so the time is well spent. Best wishes to Adam, Mike, Rob, Noah, and Andy.

Time for silence, stillness, repair. Preparation.
