Where did those last five days go? No, seriously.
This week consisted of workworkworkworkworkworkwork. That's not a complaint. I'll take busy over the alternative any day. I used to think the greay in my beard was stress related. Now I think it's just me getting old Time flies when you forget to stop and take a look every once in a while. Sorry, Ferris. I'm letting you down
Thursday was my eldest boys last day of school for the year. Headed down in the afternoon to pick him up and watch his class on a little show. They did a pretty awesome job Handed out some little "play" gifts to his buds along with offers to come over a play a few times over the break. He's off for six weeks. The best part of that is that we'll have plenty of time to do stuff together. We'll wind down the business shortly and just do the odd jobs that come through. I don't expect to see much work at all. I haven't given much thought to what we'll do during the down time. Probably go camping a few times, lots of crafts, build some more of his railway, and what have you.
Christmas is almost here and I've done next to nothing. Okay, I've done nothing at all. My mum is coming to visit next week so I'm sure we'll get some stuff done then. I don't dig the crowds, or the rudeness that seems to abound at this time of year. I'm not religious, but people seem to forget what this time represents. It's not about cutting a strangers face just to get 10% off pop-tarts. Find some room for charity, dig deep for some tolerance, and just chill the fuck out. It's Christmas. Enjoy it. Before you know it there'll be another new year upon us and you'll be bitching about your massive hangover, and making ridiculous claims that you'll never drink again. So say I.
I've seen a bunch of stuff on SG this week that's made me all kinds of happy. People finding new love, new friends, finding ground over common interests, and some seriously beautiful women. I really need to work on my plans to become self-sufficient and start a harem - luckily my wife has impeccable taste and has offered to be my recruiting agent. FTW.
