@yaoth harvesting vegetable garden seeds! I harvest banana pepper seeds. Any hot pepper you can do this to. I take a large sewing needle and the largest thread I have available. And I run the needle and thread through the stem of peppers. Then hang them up in my kitchen until spring. I also harvest pumpkin, okra, tomato and sweet corn seeds. With the sweet corn I leave the ears of corn on two or three plants every year. Before the first frost I will go pick these ears of corn. And store them in a cardboard box until spring. Also I harvest green bean seeds. I do the same thing as the corn. I leave the green beans on 3 or 4 plants. In the past I have saved watermelon seeds. This saves me some money every spring. Also I do a outdoor winter garden every year. I'm successful with Kale, Turnips, and Collard greens. Growing for the first time Red Russian Kale. There's a couple of photos on my page.
