Hello again true believers!
Big hike over the weekend. It was the first really big date that we've done together. We went to Grassi Lakes which is just outside of Canmore, AB. There are lots of amazing hikes in that area, but I chose this one because of the waterfall that's there. I knew Tamara would love that. Anyways, I wont bore you with writing the details just go check out the photo album I made of our hike.
Quick side note
I made the cordon bleus last week and they were amazing. Here's a photo of the meal. It was pretty damn delicious. If you want the recipe for it, let me know and I'll share my secrets, haha!
Writers block
I've hit a bit of a wall with my writing. I don't know if it's because I've been busy with life but I just can't seem to generate any ideas lately. I'm hoping that on this long weekend that I can finally get some time to sit down in a quiet space, relax and try writing a bit. I tried doing a brainstorming session with a few people last weekend, it didn't go over very well for me because all they wanted to do was talk about their characters and tell their story, so it was very one sided and sucked for me.
Call me crazy
I'm going to source this out to all the married folk who might be reading this. When did you know? How quickly did you know that this was the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? I recently asked my sister this who got engaged about a month ago to her boyfriend of 2 years. Both of them said they knew within the first couple of weeks, which when I asked them just sounded crazy. But now I think I know what they meant. So call me crazy, but the girl I've been seeing for the past few weeks could very well be the one. Never in my years have I ever experienced something so perfect. And I don't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows, there's just a connection I've never experienced before and I'm very excited about it. It's a feeling I've never been so sure, yet so confused about. Something someone once told me was "be with someone through all four seasons because people can change with the weather." I've never actually taken that as a literal interpretation of date someone for a year before you make any decisions, I've always thought of it as being with someone through all of their ups and downs and when they change their mind. If you don't want to pack your bags after that, you know you've found a keeper. I'll open the floor with this question: What's the best dating/relationship advice you've ever received and how did it make a difference?
