I live in Seoul, Korea, but I don't speak Korean yet ....
So the landlord stops by yesterday with a young couple. She hands my roommate a phone and it's our realtor (who speaks English and interprets for us when dealing with the landlord). The realtor informs us that the landlord is having financial problems and plans to sell our apartment, so she is giving formal notice that she's terminating our lease. The young couple are the prospective buyers. They proceed to start walking through our house and going into rooms and such. This seriously pissed both my roommate and myself off, but we put up with it this once. We called the realtor back and said next time the fucking landlord better give us at least one day's notice or we won't let her in.
Seriously bums me out .. I like this apartment. Mainly because of location -- it's the 1st floor of a 16-story building. There's easy access to a waterway outside for biking and/or jogging. It's close to work (about 10 minutes). The Realtor says this is "normal" but it's the first any of my friends have heard of it happening. She's promising to find us another apartment. The roommate and I are trying to guilt the realtor into getting us a good deal. We're also going through the housing folks where we work to find out if the landlord's other properties are also being sold. We shall see.
