It is all a lie. I do not love you. There is someone else. I have never loved you. You were just a piece of ass. You were easy. You were always good for a place to lay my head and get some head. I could always crash at your place and leave with some cash. You were in love with me but I was not in love with your stupid ass. I used you. I abused you. I laughed at you behind your back and in front of our friend. You are a joke. You are pathetic. You are a loser. No one could love you. Strong words meant not just to hurt but to devastate. Not a mere breakup but a kick to the stomach and to the psyche. This is cruel and unusual punishment for someone who made the mistake of falling in love with the wrong person, a sick fuck if you will. I do not care whether the couple merely dated, lived together as a couple, or legally married, what bothers me is when the breakup is violent, cruel, or nasty. As an attorney I have seen too many love relationships go sour and I have been one of the people called into deal with the aftermath. It is not pretty, it is not civil, it is a tragedy. I do not know why we as a society accept it. It is so easy to fall in love and so easy to fall out of love but so hard to maintain a relationship or end a relationship. It should be easier if there are no children involved and the adults should be more caring and wiser if there are children involved but this is not usually the case. Emotions, love, and sex are traded as favors and sometimes one wonders if anyone really knows the meaning of love, intimacy, caring, and feelings. Are we just satisfying our base animal needs without really discovering the wonderful human array of emotions and desires we can share, experience and exchange? I have sat through too many depositions and court appearances during which I have heard so-called adults deny the children that resulted from these liaisons even after d.n.a. testing proved that paternity were theirs. Somehow the women who slept with these men were sluts who would sleep with any Tom, Dick or Harry, yet when the testing was done it was not Tom, Dick or Harry who was the father but the man the lady had identified as the father. I have never had a Maury moment when the lady says that maybe five guys could be the father. It is always one man and one woman. But the guy always claims that he is a saint and the gal is a slut. And I always wonder why the saint slept with the slut! Todays rant is the result of one more man testifying like all the others but he went one better. He claimed that he never had sexual relations with my client and therefore could not have fathered the child in question. They were never in a sexual nor dating relationship. They were merely friends. He was in a committed relationship with his girl friend of eight years and there was no way he was the father of the child in question. And at no time has he ever donated his semen to a sperm bank. Well surprise, surprise, surprise. Somehow his semen travelled magically from his penis and fertilized my clients egg producing the child in question according to d.n.a. testing. And what about all those lovely words above which my client received electronically from the lovely man with the magical semen? Sometimes I feel like Diogenes and just want to go look for one honest man.
