Crap, has it been that long? Going on 2 and a half years since my last post here.
So much has happened since then; got a job, got married, got a house, got a dog, got promoted, my little girl was born, got started on baby number 2, got promoted again, and getting ready for a family trip to DisneyWorld. I can't believe how busy...

Sounds like you've had a great 2.5 years!
unfunnypunman:
Thanks so much. It has been pretty great. Funny thing though the part I left out was that I moved out here from LA in April of 2010. So I have only lived in Colorado for 2.5 years. Still getting used to the snow . . . and the asthma. But other than that it's pretty cool.

Well little sister just left after spending 4 days with me . . . yesterday I took her to Estes so she could see the Stanley hotel and go on the ghost tour. It was pretty cool. It was more fun when Monday night she put a wig on and did her makeup to make dad and step-mom think that she cut off all her...

Well, I'm back from Kansas where I saw li'l sister graduate high school. While I was there, I was also bitten like crazy by who knows what kind of creatures.
So the drive from Denver to Anthony, Kansas is boring. Long and boring. I think I'm allergic to Anthony. I was fine in the rest of Kansas, but Anthony sent my allergies into overload.

I was just in Kansas too! Lot of lil bugs out there for sure haha. How'd you find the place? good times?
unfunnypunman:
Really? What were you doing out there? Yeah there are way too many creatures for me to live there. I'm not sure how they found the place. That town is so small they must have wound up there when their car stalled while driving through it I guess.
It was a good trip. My little sister graduated high school so, I got a chance to see dad and step-mom which was pretty cool.

I had a chance.
I had a chance with Ashley (a girl I've known for 10 years).
She was going to come back to CA.
But how could I have made that sacrifice?
She had the name picked out and if I didn't like it, tough!
And now, I wonder . . .
I moved to Denver
I live in a nice place . ....

Why do I have to find out what is going on with them?
I feel like there is some sort of timer on my curiosity that makes me need to check on the ex.
With every girl I've dated, I felt a need to find out what they were up to after a certain amount of time had passed. Well, with what's-her-name, that time expired...

I'm the same way. After a certain point I always want to know how my ex is. I think it's because you're so close to that person for so long it's weird. You can't help but wonder how they are. Especially if you really cared about them. I don't know.
unfunnypunman:
That makes sense.
And I really, really, do want her to be happy. It's just that this wondering about what she's doing now came to me when I'm sort of throwing myself a little pity party.
...
Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that I feel like that any time I wonder about exes . . . except for two. The two I still consider friends. Which is interesting to me now. We had to take time apart but I always knew what was going on with them and with them I was ok with it. Then again. They were not bad break ups . . . painful at the time, but not bad.
Thanks for making me think more, Tore.
I like thinking.

Saw the midnight Iron Man 2 in IMAX last night, er, this morning.
Loved it!

I was at a 12:03am show! So great!
unfunnypunman:
I thought it was great. If I'm willing to see a movie on opening night and it has an IMAX version of it anywhere within 2 hours of driving time. I'm there. But when the movie is Iron Man, I up the driving time to 4 hours.
Iron Man was my favorite super hero as a kid so I have to go see it. I still have my toys at my parents' house.

Back from CA. Went for the weekend since Friday was birthday and I have been away from the family for a month. It made me sad to come back.
Seeing my cats.
They remembered me . . . and that made me sad. I wish I could have them with me.

I want a job that's cool and fun but haven't had a regular job in so long, I don't know where to start looking.

Good luck in Denver! Its a rad city smile
unfunnypunman:
Thanks to both of you.
It has been a big change for me, Sonja. I don't know many people yet but I'm learning my way around now and am mostly settled in my apartment now.
I love the weather here . . . except the tornado warning we had this week. I was so NOT ready for that. I wasn't home at the time and was worried about the guinea pig and how long I'd be stuck at the mall waiting for it to go away.
Turned out that it was only 20 minutes. But never having experienced it and then being told to stay at the mall only to have nothing happen and then being told to go home after 20 minutes was way anticlimactic.
Oh well . . .
I'll get used to it.
