My band ESF is shooting video tonight at the Berkely Front, so if anyone wants to be part of the show, and possibly get some facetime on our websites, stop by and say hello.

Here me and my band on the Mitch Albom show tomorrow (Wednesday) from 5 - 7. We will be playing into and out of the commercials.

I haven't put much effort into this site as I haven't met anyone new in person. I'm not that outgoing, but I do go out and I can't seem to run into anyone. I DO see Metal Eric at the gym which is always cool, but that is it. I put my energy into MySpace as I have been able to track down a lot...

Well - I for 1, would love to come out and meet you, and see your band play - smile Ferndale is very easy for me to get to. And I can probably talk MetalEric into coming with me....... wink

thanks for the birthday wishes smile

As a body builder, I've grown accustomed to a certain amount of pain. In fact, if you aren't sore, you probably didn't have a good workout. So I'm always sore muscle-wise. And in the past few years, joints hurt a lot too.

Well, I managed to slightly herniate a disc in my back again. If you have never done this, count your blessings. It's the...

I can definately see (already) how easy it'd be to freak and get depressed about it...

I guess I have to think pretty hard about that... I'm just sick of renting, and want to move on to "the next step" as a big kid, lol, you know?

Thanks for the truth, though! I've still made no commitments, I'm looking at a couple of houses in Southfield (right outside of Berkley) tomorrow... we'll see!
metaleric:
Thanks man. The only place I get to show it off is at the gym. tongue

That sucks about your back. Your still able to train? I pinched a nerve in my upper back a while ago, and it took 6 months before I was able to train normally. I couldn't do shoulder presses at all, and everything else hurt.

Alright, I'm feeling guilty enough to put something new in here. Since I took over the band website, I've let other things fall by the wayside, but, since I'm not taking a class this winter I guess I don't have any excuses.
So what should I talk about?

How about irony? I said I didn't want or need anything for Christmas and I made out...

*lol* yes, i mean the transmission to my car. i got this crazy deal on ebay, but ups lost it over a month ago. and just now 'found' it. how that happens, i dunno. but i'm just glad i didn't have to buy another one.

and yes, i was close to flintstoning it. i'd begun walking to work (about 4 miles), but that kinda sucks when you live in the mountains and it's FREEZING!!! luckily, i have awesome friends who let me borrow their cars. smile

I always say that seemingly bad things happen for good reasons. Well, that happened to me tonight. I had spent 4 hours preping a chapter for PreCalc, and then accidentally saved a new document over top of it. I can't figure out how to recover it either. I even did some cautious dumpster diving in hopes of finding my hard copy, but had no luck....

Sometimes the smallest (relatively speaking) things make you feel the best. I have a huge soft spot for animals. Much greater than for humans (humans know better, but they still do evil things anyway). I only kill certain insects when they are inside and there is a danger they will bite/sting. Everything else is left alone. I feel horrible driving in the rain because of...

Saturday was a strange day and I haven't been able to sleep since then. Not because it bothers me, but I just can't quite believe it.
I haven't seen my ex-fiance since Christmas and it was August 2005 before that. Saturday morning, out of the blue she calls: "Hey, I'm driving past your place right now. Would you like to get coffee?" The thing that...

Aaaarg! I hate this time of year. Boredom has definitely set in. I have things I could do, but nothing I want to do. The only thing that intrests me is exercising (besides going to the gym and running as usual, I've been riding my bike 10 miles or so and walking a couple of miles a day). The problem is that in my old...

As I have too much time on my hands this month, I've been ruminating on pain killers. I take a lot of them due to my lack of cartilige and constant muscle pain. My shoulder joints (weight lifting) and knees (running) are really bad and I have to reset my thumbs (football) when I wake up in the morning.

I take plain aspirin all of...

No shit. This was a weird wedding. My brother is impulsive so I'm sure it would have cost a shit ton more if we had a few more days to plan it.

I hope you are feeling better smile

You can still kind of see them tongue

It's amazing how quickly things can happen. I received a phone call the Friday before last telling me my sister had a large brain tumor and that it was bad. I drove 5 hours to get to her thinking the worst. Surprisingly, she showed no outside signs anything was wrong, but we were given a dire prognosis: inoperable and she could litterally drop dead any...

I hope she continues to progress and is ok. My dad was injured at work a few years and almost died, so I know what your going through. It was a rough 3 months before he was well enough to go home. One thing is that now I've been really close to him ever since and I make the time to visit often because you never know when that day will come.

You are right. I've spent more time with my family in the last two weeks than I did all year (they live 300 miles away) so that has been nice.
Haven't seen you at the gym lately. There are a lot of werewolves around (big, fat guys with hairy backs that inexplicably wear tank tops). I need to start packing silver bullets.

I go through this every summer, well, vacation for that matter. I start off really ambitious and work like a mad man thinking I'm going to get a lot done and then by July I'm usually burned out. One week in and I'm still doing well. I'm prepping classes for next year (I have to teach 3 new courses) and I've set a goal of...
