Have you ever been to Fitcorp? If not, I saw your clone there.
halfjack:
I knew it! I do. I get a discount from BWH. Who do you work for? God, I almost walked right up to you, but it's been like a good 4 years probably and I wasn't sure. Good to know.

Davis Square, Somerville.

I am walking with my smallest and tattooedest friend, sipping chilled coffee drinks. It strikes me that while in the area I ought to peek into Goodwill and see if they got any new lava lamps in. I don't make it to Davis that often. After discovering the store to have closed moments before arrival, we start back towards the heart of...

That story was amazing.

There was some punk band that had fake religious comics about the evils of selling out, or about how the band paid the price for selling out. I can't remember exactly. And instead of having some info about where you can order a bible, it had a form to send in to get a catalog for their record label.

wheres that picture from? i dont blame you for pulling those off, i really dont. after a long day of work, that is the last thing i want to see on my windshield.

I went into work late today, and didn't wind up catching my bus home until 6:15 or so. The bus was nearly empty at my stop. There was only myself, the two MassArt students who got on with me, and an old black man who seemed tired and had a deeply satisfying growl of a voice.

By the third stop the bus was nearly full....

Oh, tick tock, tick tock.

4:00am in a grocery store is a strange place to crash. I've been 'up=--extremely cheerful and energetic for a few weeks now. I guess a rebound was inevitable.

Take me, gravity!

Still, a Shaws? It was the music in the background. Not the specific song, just a few notes that reminded me of something. Not a specific something. Just something...

Moving, Moving, Moving

I've been insanely productive recently. The last few weeks. I can't remember the last time I wasn't up until four or five AM editing photos, taking a apart and trying to fix the timer for my ancient washing machine, painting, painting, cleaning, writing, or just going for a walk and a good think. I've been skipping social engagements to keep at my...

And now something a little more concrete, a little less impressionist.

Burning man.

I don't exactly know what I was expecting. I know that my expectations were exceeded.

It is astounding, the scope and splendor of the thing. The magnitude of the art projects there, even the simple ones, and the amazing effort people put into them. The diversity and disparity, my word. There's no...

I'm back from a strange place.
An Oasis of life in an otherwise dead land.

I don't exactly know how to convey to all of you what it's like to be there, in the desert.

It's trite, at this point, to call it dream-like. It's something people say, and it's taken at face value. I mean it in more than a superficial way. Imagine with...

Coffee makes me euphoric.

No, seriously. About half an hour after a big cup, I am stricken with affection for my friends, and the people I half know who thrill me. I am overcome by love for life and the world and everybody I know.

It's really something.

I also got the magic berries I mentioned last post.
This'll be fun.

HELLO THERE

...Is that better? =P

I do go to the Harvard show sometimes. I actually thought about joining the cast once, but I don't have the time to commit to it, unfortunately.

Some of you will probably remember the story. A while ago the Times ran a story about a magic berry. When swirled around the mouth, it inhibits (or alters) the tongue's ability to detect sour and bitter. The result is finding new and fascinating tastes buried under other flavors. A Guinness stout tastes like a milkshake. Lemons and oranges, various soft cheeses, and cheap tequila...
