So this last week was pretty amazing. I'm in the process of changing my life around, and the most shocking realization is that I could have done this years ago, but I just needed to decide to do it. I've been in very healthy positive moods, I've been making ridiculous money at work, and I've even been able to quit smoking (albeit with a few...

Well, thanks for introducing yourself.

Hope your show went well! I've never been to Sky Bar. I'll have to check it out sometime.

I definitely know how frustrating it is not to have the means to finish a project.

Wow. So, I came back to my parents' home in Ohio for Christmas a few days ago and one of the things I had wanted to do while I was here was to see this girl from back home that I've had a thing for/with for a number of years now. So, she called me the other day to see if I was in town...

You went back to Ohio. Were you stunned and amazed as your childhood memories slowly swirled past, like the wind through the trees? Had your pretty countryside
been paved down the middle by a government that had no pride?
Had the farms of ohio been replaced by shopping malls?
Did muzak fill the air from Seneca to Cuyahoga Falls?

So did you get to see the girl again??

Thanks for the b-day wishes (and the complements on the photographing of people and stuff) biggrin

So, I'm sitting in my room listening to the beautiful music of a girl I really like. She's just got such an amazingly beautiful voice and her songwriting is so moving to me. It makess me happy.

I spent all day Monday waiting for a technician to come to the house and hook up our new internet, only to find out that they were just...

Sometimes, I feel like I over intellectualize certain events in my life to avoid dealing at all with my emotions as they pertain to said events, because I think I am far too reckless emotionally speaking, while my intellectual side is far more practical and hesitant to approach situations hastily, especially if they might hurt me. I think of my relationships with women this way....

So, today is my birthday. Or rather, the day that I just went through was my birthday. Anyway, I guess turning 24 dosn't mean a whole lot. It's a weird phase in my life, to be sure. But it was pleasant, I guess. Actually, it was the worst birthday I can remember. Oh well, I guess people just forget you sometimes.

EDIT: Wow, so this...

So, I did the Halloween gig and it was alright. But not great. However, now I'm in Ohio because last night my dad and I played at an event called Tent City which played host to my very first public performance when I was 12. It's a very cool benefit for the homeless in Toledo that had been retired several years ago but revived this...

We met in person because I had a bunch of frequent flyer miles and we'd sort of half-joked about me coming to visit, and one night when I was feeling rather impulsive I asked him if he was serious and he said he totally was, so I bought tickets. Since they were frequent flyer, it cost me five bucks, and I wasn't doing anything else all summer so I kind of figured, "Eh, what the hell, right?"

I didn't tell any of my friends about it, because I knew they'd think I was absolutely batshit insane. "OMG! He's probably a serial killer! Don't you watch the news? Who does that? And you met him on a porn site, for chrissakes!" tongue

What a lame day. I've just been sitting in this cafe in JP playing on the internet when I should be out flyering for a gig on Saturday. Oh well. In other news, I have a new place in Medford and it's only a 20 minute walk to my workpllace, so theoretically I'll be working a lot more and making more money, but then, I'm...

Well, I got back from Maine about a week ago and I still can't believe that those two weeks went by so quickly. I'm still trying to figure out if there's any way that someone would pay me to lay on the beach and swim and drink beer all day. I think I would kick ass at that profession. Anyway, I had a great time...
