needless to say, living in the house that you lived in with your fiance and "son," after everything is moved out is pretty bogus. Worst is the fact that I'm naive and nice enough to have helped them move into their new house, while I sit here struggling to figure out how to get things from A to B. I hired a moving crew today to get everything loaded onto the truck, and have plenty of help where I'm headed to get unloaded... but damn... tit for tat.
I guess if a relationship never goes that way, then one shouldn't expect the same in "friendship."
"Working on things" for two weeks has provided so much more knowledge than five years of living and loving ever could. Loving someone to the end of the earth and understanding that their love is restrained by... whatever... paints a pretty clear picture.
But the naivety kicks in... maybe there is a solution... maybe things will change. I've changed... so I know people are capable of change.
Anyhow... two days to cram in finals, final papers, final packing, final loading, final preparations... the timeline has infinitely shortened... and it's a bit painful going through all of it with one of three dogs, nothing in the house, my laptop, an internet connection, and a TV.
1st world problems... definitely... 1st world problems.
Certainly beats the hell out of the move in 2003 when I spent a month in a car with my dog, sleeping outside of friends' houses. Or the two months in an 70's RV with no toilet before that. Meh... live and learn. At some point, I'll stop throwing everything I have to people... maybe then all of these things will be easier.
