This turned out to be quite a nice week for me. Saw a couple awesome shows in NYC over New Years and signed the purchase agreement on our house in Indy today!!

I'm so happy to get out of that house.. Paying for an apartment, mortgage, and going from a 2-income household to 1 was really tough but things are looking up.

Went to a...

Words of advice.

Never, EVER spend more than 2 days with your in-laws. Today is day 3 of 6 and I don't see how I can make it through the week without flipping out.

At least I have the 30th (Railroad Earth) and 31st (SCI) to look forward to.

Wish me luck.
requiem:
Um, good luck. Three days with ANY family member is enough if you ask me.

I went to a show at a bar in SF and they didn't do champagne, a countdown, or anything. frown

Things are looking up!

Convinced the in-laws to watch the kid for an extra night so we could go to New Jersey on the 30th to catch Railroad Earth (hippie/bluegrass band) then off to NYC for String Cheese Incident on New Year's Eve. It's gonna be awesome.... My bestest friends from Indiana will be there so I'll get to bring in the new year with...

Because Thirtyseven said so:

Post a comment with a memory of me.
It can be anything you want.
Then post this in your journal.
See what people remember about you.

I was quite the busy-bee today. Woke up at 4:30AM so I could bust out a batch of mild ale before the monster woke up. Did all my brewing shit then took the lil guy to the park and we got our play on while mama did her thing (she needed a break). Grabbed some pizza then headed home to watch Finding Nemo for the...

went to Asheville, NC yesterday. Cool town, lots of hippies, freaks, punkers, and all sorts of cool weirdos. Reminded me of Boulder, Co except for the lack of snow. I dug it.

Still no hookup for bud here. Things are looking bleak.

On a brighter note I got my tickets for New Year's Eve. Gonna be another new year rung in with String Cheese. Somehow...

Bud?!?? I thought you had better taste in beer than that.
doghouse_reilly:
Haha, you too have encountered the brilliance of the 38th St. Dancing Guy. smile

That alone qualifies you as cool.

I will toast a bowl of the homegrown funk in your honor. biggrin

Good luck with the search, I don't doubt you will be successful. ARRR!!!

Brewed 11 gallons of ESB today. It's been a while since I've brewed so it was nice to bust out a batch, plus it kinda makes this place feel more like home now that I can brew.

Still no hookup here for nugs.

are you still in touch with codemonkey? I sometimes wonder what happened to him. I know he had to leave SG because of some stalker thing... It was a long rtime ago.... I was just wondering if you knew how he was.... I think you are the only member still around that was on his friends list.......

I'm a southerner now.... We moved to Charlotte, NC last weekend and are finally getting settled into the new place. I could go into all sorts of boring details of the journey but I doubt anyone reads this so I'll just do the abbreviated version.

All our shit was supposed to be here Thursday but didn't get here till Monday. Stayed in hotels, some really...

I must be high or something...

I've sold about 500 LPs in the last month and what do I do??

Go out and buy more. Then to top it off I just won 3 ebay auctions for some old Blue Note LPs.

I am a slave to vinyl.
