time for parties... well I guess I really just had one. Had an awesome time at a play party I went to on Saturday, let me just say, I think I have a new crush. The Dom I played with was amazing, and I can't wait for another chance to play with him.
wsoxfan:
That warms my heart. I'm realizing more and more that not every encounter needs to be geared toward a serious relationship. Steady play partners fill a need as much as anything else, especially for a masochist.

I have a play party to go to on Saturday night. I'm sure I'll have opportunities to play. It's just a coincidence, I'm sure, but I seem to wind up playing with Dommes that have reputations as very intense players.

It's good in a way because it allows me to continue to test my limits and also enhances my reputation as a hard player in my own right. This is important to me, as I'm always looking to dispell stereotypes about playing with someone my age.

So I crashed my scooter, well not really crashed. I layed it down to avoid an accident and skidded down the curb, hurting my right knee, and getting bits of road rash. Luckily no gravel under the skin, and I did not go unconscious. Other then bruising being scratched up and having a stiff right knee, I am perfectly fine. No major injuries, etc, etc....

Sorry to hear about your accident. On the other hand, it sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
wsoxfan:
You never mentioned your mom. I do remember your grandma, though. The love between you and her was so obvious when I saw the photo of the two of you together.
wsoxfan:
I'm glad to hear how well you get along with your mom. I had a somewhat stormy relationship with my mom. My dad and I were very close. I lost him when I was 18.

What to do with my tax refund?

I know half of it is going to my loans, and some is going to my savings, and I am repaying a debt. After that I have enough I could take a trip, or buy lots of goodies for myself.

I could go to Maine, or Washington State, or San Fran again, or maybe New York. Or...

I don't want to get too excited, BUT. Someone who I've admired from afar extended an invitation to participate with her in a caning and clothespins workshop next month. I had to decline, as I already committed my services to the person I did the flogging demo with.

I did use her reaching out to me to open up further communication with her about providing some form of service to her. This in turn prompted her to want to have further discussion with me next week.

Let's see where this leads. I know I need to be cool and not get carried away about the prospects, even though this is someone I'd really like to establish something with.
wsoxfan:
Double Domming sounds like fun. I feel I have the energy for anything that might come up. The Domme I declined for the caning workshop is cool with it. She's friends with the person I'm bottoming for. It's so nice to be asked.

The great thing is that her offer to me gave me an opportunity to reach out to her about getting to know her better. We're meeting next Sunday after a meeting we're both attending.

I'll keep you posted. I also appreciate that I can confide in you and get good advice when I need it.

Working a wedding today, our first one of the year! Now that the weddings have started so much for my weekends. Oh well, too bad I have to miss the games today, that could have been a lot of fun.

Going to a play party tonight though so yay.

wsoxfan:
Sounds like you got some good things out of going to the party.

I'm going to be the demo bottom for a Domme friend of mine tonight as she holds a flogging seminar. I'm very excited, as this will give me some added exposure, (no pun intended). I also have two requests from Dommes to be their demo bottom for a caning and clothespins workshop on May 18th.

I hope to use these opportunities as a springboard to forming an ongoing relationship with a compatible dominant woman.
wsoxfan:
Patience may have its rewards for both of us these days. The person doing the demo with me has taken a liking to me which promises better times ahead. While She refuses to accept the official title of my mentor, she does, in fact fill that role with me. I'm fortunate, as She's most knowledgeable as well as a caring person.

I hope things continue to look up for both of us.

A bit of a rant: Sometimes I get damn tired of being a female.

I would have had a lovely day yesterday, I mean a day of easy work, chocolate, ice cream and dinner with my boyfriend should have been damn lovey. But because my period started yesterday, I spent my whole day in a daze. Between the soreness in my back, the cramps, the...

This is so beyond my area of expertise. Hormones can be unpredictable. I learned to tread lightly when it was Annette's time of the month.
myrholt:
I have pretty much all the same issues. :/ My mood is so unpredictable about four days before I get my period. I get snappy, self-hating, impatient, irritable, selfish, and unable to see things from others' points of view (the exact opposite of how I usually am, it's terrifying). After I actually get my period, I'm in physically bad condition (exhausted/cramping/headaches - the usual), but I act like myself again.

I've read/heard that eating better, reducing caffeine & alcohol, staying hydrated, and exercise will help (though who wants to exercise during that, seriously? tongue). I've also heard that you can take vitamin supplements like B6 (50-100mg daily) & Calcium-Magnesium (dunno a number, sorry) though, which I am definitely going to buy next time I go to the grocery store.

I personally avoid doctors at all costs, but you *might* want to look into the possibility of having PMDD (I know I have most of those symptoms). It can be treated with SSRIs (Zoloft, Prozac, etc). I'm not really thrilled about the idea of going on that medication again, so I'm going with the first method I described.

Whatever you choose to do, good luck!

Been very busy, I have been quite a social butterfly lately. I have also been busy playing with a new dominant in my life. And been busy with work, it is wedding season at work now. Lots of long days in my future. I'll try to better about updating this journal.
wsoxfan:
My family was just up here last week, so I'm not planning a trip to NC for at least a few months. I'll certainly let you know when I'll be down there.

Good luck with the new dominant. I'm looking to find the right Domme to settle down with and serve for the rest of my life.

I have been working at my new job for about 3 months now and I am loving it, my boss is awesome and I get a better quality of life with it. I can actually go out and do things.

Also I really need to work on putting together some sets otherwise I am going to run out of time for my trial period.

Helping...

I wanted to say hi and see how you were doing. I'm don't know when I'll pull it off, but I'd like to visit my family in Mooreseville within the next few months. As I've probably mentioned in the past, I'd love to combine my time with my family with having an opportunity to meet you.

I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Take care of yourself.
wsoxfan:
My trip to Canada was very educatonal, as I learned a lot about myself and what I'm made of as a submissive. While we wound up not being a good fit, I have no regrets about making the trip. Kathy and I still exchange emails and are on relatively good terms. We both made some mistakes in judgement while I was with her, but that hasn't caused us to sever all ties to each other.

As I say in my current blog, I'm looking forward to vising my family in NC sometime in the near future. I'm determined to do whatever is necessary to get to meet you, if that's okay with you. I've wanted to do so for a long time as I'm quite fond of you as a person.

You've been an invaluable friend and confidante for quite a while. I continue to appreciate that very much.

another year gone, and once again I too much to drink new year's eve, but that is okay, I'm still young and should enough my ability to heal quickly while it lasts. I'm back from visiting my family and friends. I hope everybody else had a good time with theirs.
wsoxfan:
I'm filled with happiness and optimism for both of us as I write this. This will be an unparalleled year for both of us, my wonderful friend.
wsoxfan:
Thank you so much. No future plans would be complete without getting to meet you in person. I'm unable to schedule any trips to North Carolina any time soon.

I'm promising myself that if I should wind up living with Kathy permanently, I'll get down there to visit my family. I already told my daughter that when I should get down there, I'll do whatever I can to travel to where we can meet. You are one of those rare people that I have special feelings of friendship for, cyberspace or otherwise.

Wow. Being called, "sir" seems so weird to me for more than one reason, LOL.

There is the smell of cookies in the air, holiday music in my ears, I can see the flashing lights of my tree, and the presents underneath, the stockings are hung, and my birthday has passed, so it must be Christmas time. I am so excited, and get to open gifts and see my family and friends. I love this time of year.
wsoxfan:
I'm very happy for you. It's not everyone who feels this way at this time of the year. I'm glad you're one of the ones who does.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. You've made my life brighter since I've known you. That's something I'm not about to forget.
wsoxfan:
This holiday season is much happier for me compared to the last three years. That's a direct result of Kathy coming into my life. We're very much on track toward having a life together. At this point in my life, I was determined to only consider being with someone who can provide the "special " needs that have been missing in my previous relationships. Kathy will provide thaty, and much more.

You've been a good friend and confidante. You're one of a handful of people here who understands me when it comes to my "out of the mainstream" needs and desires. I appreciate your friendship a great deal.

I had a great B-day, actually got the time out of work. Had a lot of junk food and good times with friends, and got a Christmas tree, all up and decorated. Now it's time to make up those cookies.
wsoxfan:
It's really nice that all is well with you. I hope it keeps up.

When doing your Holiday cards this year, take one card and send it to this address: A Recovering American Soldier c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington , D.C. 20307-5001. Think of how many cards these wonderful people who have sacrificed so much would get.
wsoxfan:
I think this a great idea. You can count me in. I firmly believe that one's feelings about the war have nothing to do with honoring the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for all of us.

I hope you had a great Thanksgivig.
