Dang. I've been slacking. The big news is that I have FINALLY gotten a new computer. Do you know how annoying it is to attempt to process tons of RAW photo files on a circa 2005 PowerBook G4? NOT FUN. I spent more time staring at the Spinning Wheel of Death than I did actually working.

NO MORE. I am now the proud owner of...

Looks like the slacking started after you got the new computer.

Hope you aren't gone for good I'd like to catch up with you before I am gone again.
rosehips:
Not much is new. Moved back to Minneapolis. Single again. No job. Life is very routine. But relatively happy.

How are you?

i like the last one. a lot.

anyway i think my hesitation to go for it at this time is because in the past month or so, in regards to romantic endeavors, I've been running into dead ends, then when I try to turn back the way I came, it's a dead end. and it's driving me crazy I'm not sure if I have it in me to hit another dead end right now. what I mean is... I can only handle so much bad news before I go fucking crazy.

All I have to say is that thread is closed, end of discussion, my blog is not a thread!

well I have more pictures here. but I still have some that I need to photomerge together and a lot more from Bryce canyon and the Angel's Landing hike that I need to post.

Lately, I've became SLDR addict smile I's like to shoot film again...

I use a Canon EOS 5D. The lense in these pictures is a Sigma 50-150 f/2.8, but I couldn't afford a full frame one and I need to overexpose pictures to avoid the black ring surrounding them, but with only one strobe is impossible without burn half frame. So I use to re-frame a lot biggrin

P.S. Please don't ever tickle kittens like that.
jena:
Btw, the tickling thing is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. I know when I go out today I'll think of it on the train, form the image in my head and start laughing in front of the commuters. I thank you in advance.

I have the Sea Wolf on right now and seriously, yesterday was all JusTice. We are obviously both smart people. SW is touring, if you're interested but it's not like he even lives far from you.

How did you know I'm coming to the Bay? It's practically a drive by, though, I'm only coming in for a wedding and will barely even have time to see the old neighborhoods. I'm not pleased, I almost don't want to go.

Sorry if this is also like a drive-by comment. The whole massive lay off/getting out to shop resumes thing. Gotsta go for now!! Be back later.

hello! you'll be shocked to learn that i've been taking more photos. i've really been trying to improve my lighting so i have less work to do in post-processing. i can definitely see improvement over the last month or so, and it's fun to figure out angles and intensity and shadow and all that stuff. jesus, i'm a nerd.

anyway, the last shoot was the...

Thanks a bunch. Yeah, I hear what you are saying. That was taken about six months ago. I have learned a bit since then, but the post-processing it what gets me. Oh well, I must learn one of these days....

Nice shots yourself. What kinda lighting setup are ya using?
koleeta:
Taking pictures??! That's a first.

Yeah, I guess because it's part of silicon valley. Duh. Haha. I don't generally buy electronic anything, so I wouldn't know about that.
Mass transit is definitely way better in Santa Cruz. I could live there without a car, but I think I want to have one just in case. Especially with my family and all my friends being over here and all. The bus ride over the hill is very long and very boring. I have a 2000 Honda Civic. I guess it's had a good run, but its still sad. I'm emotionally attached to that car.
Being near the ocean is really important to me, too. I considered moving up to Portland, but one of the main deterrents was the idea of the ocean being a few hours a way. Yeah, they have a big river, but that doesn't count.
Yeah, Zeloot definitely has a mouth fixation. A lot of his stuff has mouths all over it.

Hope you're having a good weekend, too!

hehehe! I love Flight of the Concords!! Thank you for that. Made me smile.........

I hope things are going good for you! Thanks for the good vibes wink
