Depression is a matter of perspective. What seems little to you is more to someone else and vice versa. Sometimes things hit us that we have no control over and sometimes they come in waves. Those waves can knock us right off our feet and they keep hitting us so hard we feel like we're being pounded in to a wall. A wall that's made up of nothingness and despair. There's no worse feeling to have than a feeling of uncertainty and hopelessness. We've all been there and for some of us it cycles through our lives. There is one thing that we do have control over in this eternal battle called life. We can choose to give up or we can choose to keep getting back up and pushing forward. Depression and despair pass like the seasons, they cycle through. We can't escape this because we can not control virtually anything outside of our minds. Inside our minds we can control how these events affect us. We can choose to keep trying for happiness that it will be inevitable that we achieve it, or, we can choose to give in and fold.
