So I decided to cancel my account. I’m just not getting the community feel there used to be here. I think that social media has overtaken and ruined the vibe which is sad.

Oh you must!!! I completely lick off the outer shell then dive in to the soft centre. Its like brozen bru. I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't enjoy them. In fact if you don't I'll reimburse you with the cash you paid for them. Now if you don't mind I must get to my kip. Another 12hrs taxiing ahead of me from 6am, and it's Friday the 13th too. Oh the joys haha. Chat later and god speed on the road to recovery xx

Feel better soon.

So I've had a pretty shitty week as you may have read. A weeks leave from work ruined by jury duty and a nasty groin strain. I didn't get to do anything I wanted this week or meet with friends.

I'm a bit down so can you throw some positive vibes my way by telling me of good things happening in your lives? I'd appreciate...

Hope things have picked up for you since babs. Hope you've got the weekend off to relax and enjoy the heatwave (if it ever happens) xx

So my week off work has been kinda ruined. First off, jury duty. Here in Scotland you call the day before you are due to start jury duty and find out if and when you are required. I wasn't needed on Monday nor on Tuesday. I was today and wasted 2 and a half hours of my life. Called back tonight and not needed tomorrow...

Yeah @1akbrian it really sucks. I'd not be as mad if I was at work but this was my time. I've not really had a chance to do anything. Rah the hip will heal. You snapchat made me smile 😻
catdad:
Jury duty sucks here, too.  It's inconvenient for everyone, except people with nothing to do.  With the downtown county courthouse, you have to show up in person, but it's only for one day, unless you get picked for a trial that lasts longer.  For the east side county courthouse, it's for two days, unless you get picked for a trial, but you call in the night before to see if you are needed.  I've received summons for both, but only had to go in for the downtown one and was mercifully excused from a two week trial when I asked because my employer has no one to cover for me when I am out (which is true).  I've only gotten a summons for state court once, but had just served a day with the county a few weeks earlier, so was excused.  I hope your hip feels better soon.  Are you taking an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen sodium?  It can take 24 to 36 hours for those to kick in with me.

I'm sorry I haven't been very active. I guess I've been in a bit of a funk. I've been trying to change this by going to the gym and whatnot. I've just been feeling anti social and introverted. I need to connect with people instead of being a freaking hermit! I hope that longer days and better weather help me to do that!

Well I'm off the next two weekends and off week commencing 25th April but have jury duty again! Meh! I doubt I'll be in the whole week though.
dashwood_one:
I've never done jury service, but I have been a witness at a couple of trials about 20 years back. The first, I was in and out within forty minutes. The second, in 1994... The first three days were wasted, as the jury had been 'got at'; the fourth and fifth days I sat about all day, and wasn't called. The defendant then skipped bail, and vanished. He reappeared three years later, and was again brought to trial (this was an HM Customs case), and, in 1998, I was called up again. The case was heard in a different town from mine, and yet again, I sat on my arse for two days, and when I was called into the courtroom, I was there less than five minutes. Farcical.

So, I'm currently in Manchester playing at being a grown up career woman. I've been sent here by my boss to do a wine sampling for the alcohol contract. Fun but serious. I'm representing the region (Scotland) and I suspect I'm a good deAl younger than most of those attending. A bit daunting but I'm sure I'll be fine :)

It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!

Haha @trills most of the samples were horrific!

Hi all you lovely ladies,

As some of you may be aware if you have read my recent blogs, I have recently been affected by cervical abnormalities (precancerous cells). I know that smear tests are annoying and sometimes it's really hard to find the time to make that appointment with the busy lives we lead. I urge you all to MAKE the time. This may

This is a great post! Thank you for sharing, it's so important. Yes, it's very personal but serious. Doc has stuck his finger up my butt, I don't like it, but prostate cancer is no joke. Lovely lady, I wish you a speedy and full recovery 🐱💕💋

Thanks @lordskrappy it can't come soon enough! Sick of this!
