Well...
Busy is the word for it and that's a fact. Worked 'til 3:30 the last three mornings at the club, then turned around to go to my day job at 8. Ok... so... this morning I didn't get up in time to go to my day job. Fortunately they're cool about stuff like that and my driver is coming to pick me up at the house. They'll probably fire me next week. Maybe.
Two nights ago: A group of about 8 guys came into the club for a 21st birthday party. That's great, pay us $30 and we'll put the birthday guy (or gal) on the stage and have all the girls dance for him. They came in drunk, though and that's not so great. Two of them passed out and one of them shoved one of our girls. That's a no-no. I was working backup security so I had the door and the security guy working the floor actually happened to be there to catch the girl. Then he took Mr Shoverman down. Hard. We all rolled upstairs (Me, the bar back, the cook, the DJ, and the manager.) To clear the crowd and get Pushy McPusherson out of the club. He fought the whole freaking way to the door. Security guy #1 ended up almost choking old boy out. We got him outside and dude slugs the DJ. NOT a good idea. I went back in to make sure the girls were safe, the bartender (who had stayed at her post) called the cops, and the other guys turned their backs. I'm not sure what happened, but the guy (who turned out to be army and headed out for deployment in a few days) ended up subdued. The cops got there just before old dude's sergeant. From what I understood, they turned him over to the sarge who then turned him over to the wall. Supposedly there was a massive knot on the guys head and security had to wash down the wall. So... that was my second night working the door.
More later, my ride is here.
