Big changes coming up in the next months. We're moving to the Netherlands! Selling our stuff and home, just taking some clothes and the dog.

Does anybody have any advice about living abroad? We'll be living in a college town near Rotterdam called Delft. It will be a grand adventure!

Kitchen Remodel that won't end....

It has been over two months now and this kitchen remodel just won't die. We finally have countertops and a fridge again, so it seems like the end might one day come.

In other news - economy sucks (so they say) country headed for doom (so they say) lots of boom boom. Why don't we every see good news on...

Returned from Florida!!

Had a glorious time meeting dolphins and other sea creatures at Discovery Cove. A bit tired of unbridled consumerism. After each "attraction" I kept on guessing how I would be led to an ironic gift shop. Who has room for a mug, key chain, t-shirt, stuffed animal from every place they've ever been? Not me. LOL

Still love to see all the...

Closed on our first house last week! We've been busy painting and painting and painting. I guess there is a reason the word "pain" is at the beginning of the word paint.

We ripped up the carpet last week and found some pretty sweet hard wood floors. Now we just have to update the electrical outlets and put in some cable outlets. An old lady...

It's been coldish here again and gray. We went camping up in Duluth and it was really cold! Only about 45 degrees at night. It was a good thing we brought a blanket for our dog! Did everyone *USA* have a good long weekend?

MAY DAY!!

The May day parade was awesome - there were tons of great floats and commentary on social in justices. At the beginning of the parade they tried to push the awesome jamming bike people out of the parade. The people spoke though and we pushed that float back into the parade!

We recently got back from an awesome trip to Oregon. We visited...

Returned from Germany last night. We were vacationing there and visiting Stef's family for 2 weeks. It was really great. I spoke a lot of German so am a little relived to be able to speak english again. We ate all kinds of good (some strange) foods. Bread is so awesome there and so is cheese beer and government run healthcare (Stef says). Hope everyone...

You two look very familiar. Did you ever spend any time in the Grand Marais area?
wren:
If you see me at a bout say hi! I skate under the name Freddy Kruelgirl.

I tried out for the MNRG, as well. I did not make it, obviously. There were 68 of us trying out for 20 spots! Yikes! I wouldn't trade my spot on the NSRG for the world, though, they are really really great ladies.

Went to the Brian Jonestown Massacre last night. It was fucking great. If you have not seen the Dig! documentary you totally have to!!

Anton is the real deal - and is actually a crazy person. It was pretty exciting to see in person. The music was just amazing! Dig this band.
