Back to uni tomorrow, second year of Politics. I should be looking forward to it, but I've enjoyed work over the summer so much that I'm slightly aprehensive. I'm also in financial shit, 600 on the credit card and a 1200 overdraft, 200 car insurance to pay and 200 for repairs to the car. (we can ignore the 6000 I so far owe on student...

I really like that magazine, it's just about the only classic car magazine written by and for people who own and drive old cars and repair them themselves, some of their writers even own Tatras and Volgas. The other classic car magazines are for Aston Martin Collecting Oxford boys who don't even know how to open up their car's bonnet.

tororo:
Thanks!

By the way, I use to listen to Leonard Cohen all the time.

Did you miss me?

Thought not.

I saw possibly the most striking looking girl I have ever layed eyes on yesterday, and she reminded me of SG. She came into the shop, wearing a white leather coat, black miniskirt and white 14 eye docs. She had the palest skin I've ever seen, her hair was shaved at the back and sides and bleached white into...

My account expires on 14th May, and I probably won't be back. I don't use the boards any more, and I'm only really interested in the pics of the three girls in my favourites list.

I'll miss you guys more than the site itself. If anyone wants to message me, AIM is Cambazola7, MSN is cambazola7@hotmail.com.

Wishing you all the best for the future,

Goodbye.

Life this past week:

Went to the art gallery with Elux, not met her before, she's cool.

My old friend Mike came up from Southampton, not seen him for nearly two years, so spent an afternoon catching up then went up to the Cat & Fiddle (formerly the highest pub in England) for a few pints.

My fixation with my boss (the delectable Louise) has...

My computers been iffy recently so I have hardly managed to get online. Nearly sorted thankfully smile

The wooden 2600 was the first games console I owned. I have fond memories of it, as did my mate. The added bonus of getting him one is I can play it too. Yars Revenge was a game that stuck in my mind for some reason, Defender is a class game. Missle Command was one of my favourites.

Ta for the link. The museum looks great. Right up my alley. I'll have to visit that one smile

Hmm, you're lucky, everyone of my co-workers is male and in the main over 40.
cheech:
Afraid of nuclear weapons? But why, smatt? Nuclear weapons are good for you.
What did you see at the museum? I dig art.
If old Atari games are to be discussed, how about the old Journey:Escape game? Yeah, Journey had a video game...the object of the game was to avoid certain people, like disreputable managers and (an exact quote from the TV advert) "Love -starved groupies". Cuz, you know....Journey wanted to...AVOID groupies...they were married....yeah....

The weather is warm, the sun is shining and I have nothing at all to do. I've all but given up alcohol (all that is, except for the 8 bottles of Polish lager in the fridge). I don't even have alcohol in pubs, boring twat that I am!

I have done very little these past few days. I'm on ntl Broadband (wheeee!!!! so fast!) now,...

I'm with you in sobriety. Acid reflux makes beer a potential nightmare, in the literal sense (waking up with burning throat pains).
I just got IM, Wish I'd had a chance to write to ya, but oh well. Maybe the email, if I have somethign clever to say.
Don't knock the Polish. Kikka is Polish and she's the frugggin coolest!

I am up to date with coursework.

Darling, you will never be able to completely convey yourself the way you are anywhere. No one wants to know the true depths of a Scorpio. Chances are it'd be too much for them wink Can't tell I'm a Scorp, can you? hehe

At any rate. So far, from all of my research losing weight has a lot to do with what types of foods we're puting in our body. Now, I don't really want to advertise for these people until this shit works but I got the 6 week body makeover. I'm not sticking to it like I should but I'm still losing weight. What I AM ding is eating smaller, more frequent meals and healthy, balanced ones. If you e-mail me I could give you some decent recipes for good food that won't make you gain. I've lost 8lbs in like 2 weeks... and that's with a lot of diet cheating.. but I am getting used to having no sugar or salt. Do I sound like a commercial? heh. Oh, and do aerobic walking. Its not only easier on your body but its more conducive to losing weight (by where it puts your heart rate).

Take care smile and thanks for posting in my journal wink

I decided I needed a break from exam/study stress this morning, so I took my brother's car (like this one) for a spin around the countryside. So relaxing, I love the countryside.

Apart from that I've done pretty much nothing.

I have two essays due in this week, one by the end of the month. I will survive.

The diet is not going as planned. I have gained 5lbs. More willpower is required. If anyone has any to spare, I'd be most grateful. Mail it me.

I'm going to dig out my cameras and take some photos around town in the next couple of weeks,...

When I was underaged I used to carry around my brothers driving liscense to style it in the pubs. A scrawney 16 year who looked about 12 passing as a 22 year old! Fuck, I'm suprised it worked, but it did smile Them were the days, back when I was a lad and a pint was a quid and I used to get pissed on it. I wish I could spend a quid and get pissed nowadays. Yesterday was the first time I'd been asked for I.d in about 4 years or so.

I've been looking at a Dixie Chicks fansite message board today. One of the band members has stated that she was ashamed GWB came from Texas, and this has caused much controversy. Why I don't know. The messages of hatred and what I can only describe as fascistic patriotism are almost vomit inducing to read. Land of the free eh?

Please,...

See, if you had the stereo and retractable antenna your car's worth would double! I say trade your car for a skateboard with a tapedeck and antenna.
If I'd bought the combo tape/CD player it would've been $200 more, but I have a portable CD and said fuggit.
Today I was doing taxes and reading Tintin Breaking Free. Did you ever see this book? It's a radical leftist Tintin knock-off in which Tintin and Capt Haddock are angry contruction workers who tell people to "sod off", stage wildcat strikes, and get into bar fights. The artist has Haddock down, but is very sloppy with Tintin, and I don't see Snowy anywhere. Oh, and the fed govt owes me $1000; Virginia owes me $100.

That is no country for old men. The young
In one another's arms, birds in the trees
- Those dying generations - at their song,
The salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowded seas,
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
Monuments of unageing intellect.

An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress,
Nor is there singing school but studying
Monuments of its own magnificence;
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium.

O sages standing in God's holy fire
As in the gold mosaic of a wall,
Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre,
And be the singing-masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity.

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

I do like Blake's poems but I prefer Yeats smile Mind, that may be from my historical interests!

But whose "Jerusalem" do you prefer-- The Fall's or Emerson Lake and Palmer's? Or Eric Idle's?
