WOOT! friday night/saturday morning! annnnd i'm here staring at my monitor. cool shit.
i went to borders today, and found myself irrevocably stuck inside some strange sort of mental block that refuses to be named. it happened when i say kurt cobain's journals on the bargain rack for $5.99. i couldnt help but feel sorry, you know. this is where the rock that raised me has ended up, on the bargain shelf with a 50% off sticker on it. well, im a cheapskate, and i didnt have the book yet so i bought it. the knowledge that i got it for so cheap combined with the first page was slightly disheartening, but made kurt seem more human, as opposed to the status that he has achieved in my mind. here he was, begging for someone to understand him (or at least try to) and all for 6 bucks, plus tax.
on another note, i also bought the second book in the Tales of The Otori series, the writing pisses me off ever so slightly but the story is more than enough incentive for me to try and finish it. i'm still sad that i have yet to finish "if you find an adjective kill it" and "and then we came to the end." but itll take me a few months to work my way back around to getting those down. its just the way it seems to work.
the last thing i got today was Phillip K Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, i got this mainly because blade runner pisses me off and i want to find out once and for all if Deckard is really a robot or not.
anyways, so, im here watching a bootleg subtitled version of Berserk, which is actually a decent series so far, and i'm typing this as well.
i guess this is my first actual entry.... maybe.
night.
