So this has been a brutal week. I started with cutting the tip of my finger off. I follow that up with getting a cold that result in me sneezing so much and so hard I actually 'popped' the cartilage between my ribs, which effectively feel like breaking a rib. Most painful thing I've felt in a long time. Then, I go to buy my...

I managed to cut the tip of my finger off today. Not a big piece.. just a piece about 1/8inch thick and the diameter of a pencil eraser. Still, that shit fucking hurt. It still hurts. Cut it off with a serrated knife. If you ever have the opportunity to do this, don't... cause I did, and you wont dig it.

So this morning I wake up to read this lovely article.... which immediately threwme into a bit if a tirade.

Deaf Boy asked to change his Sign name.

Why, aside from the normal humanistic reasons, did this upset me? Because I have a deaf child in my home. He is a sweet boy who is fortunate enough to have technology and implants that helps him...

Been feeling a little emotionally battered and bruised lately..... made me think of this... hadn't given it much thought since I wrote it.

And I Entrapped and personified in this turmoil twisted fragile form,
broken bruised battered and worn
by lifes little turns of fate and form ....

I finally got my old account back... this makes me happy.

I have been a member of this site for so long, though admittedly not an active member. Life has always been too busy for me to get too involved in social interactions that take place on here... not to mention some of them are just so fucking exhausting and tiresome. People don't make it...

He absolutely cannot play video games. That was a HUGE issue last year. He has ADHD so when he plays them he becomes obsessed. When he is at school he just draws or writes about whatever video game he is playing instead of doing whatever work he should be. It keeps him from focusing on what he really needs to be doing. If it didn't then I would totally use that as a reward. Same with the computer.

I'm trying to make it a habit and part of the routine. Homework/reading HAS to be done before he can play after school. He is just a stubborn pain. When he finally reads and gets it done, he has taken an hour longer than he should have. I've told him "Would you rather spend 20 min just reading and get it done so you can go out and play OR fight with me for almost an hour and STILL have to read for 20 min and also lose all that time to go out and play?" It can go either way. But yeah, I have to keep on him constantly or he gets nothing done. I try to be as strict as I can without being too strict. Its frustrating and I wish he didn't hate it so much.
