Portland is a bit like the way Seattle was in the late 80's/early 90's. It is way quirkier than Seattle and more laid back. No sales tax plus has the most strip clubs than any city in America (It's a fact...look it up!). Plus unlike in my state of Washington, you can drink alcohol in these strip clubs.

I am also a member of the SG Portland group so I am just going down there to meet them, plus I have not been out of town this year so I need to go on a road trip.

So there ya go. You ought to check it out sometime!

I have my plans lined up. Drink beer is one thing, watch a movie, play with my new pc game, and clean up my bedroom. Other than that I am free.

So what trouble did you stumble into?

My view of religion is this. I am an agnostic. I have had religion shoved down my throat when I was younger and my religious affiliations changed almost as much as I changed underwear. I was baptized a Catholic but my Mom and Dad split up and my Mom wanted to experiment with several Protestant denominations. A major source of contention between my Mom and Dad's family. It just messed up my views on faith. Frankly, I think religion particularly Christianity, Islam, and Judaism have been so deluted with politics that it is starting fuck things up in the world. It's the fundamentalists on all sides that are messing things up.

All I do is try to be a decent person and live my life and not try to preach or shove my beliefs down anybody's throat. It's as simple as that. People can believe what they want to believe, but don't drag me into it. It's all I ask.

should have brought me, bro, i got more poles than i know what to do with (including a very cool shark pole). i tried to go to Calaveras and Braunig last night, but both were so full up I literally couldn't get to the water, so I went to the Guadalupe in kendall county for some night fishing...until the neighbors called the cops on me...

Do you know of any public places to fish there? I know of the one boat launch, but they charge a fee and I haven't really heard if they have good shore access or not (ie does the bankfishing there suck?). I went down over the spillway once, but i was tripping acid and can't remember how to get back there. the shore access was real good there, but this was years and years ago, so i'm sure things have changed.

So do you ever do any catfishing??

If you're into Drum fishing, let me know, I know some killer spots on Calaveras and Braunig (Calaveras is by far the best, though...they stock over 600,000 red drum, alone, in that lake a year).

Dave, look in my pics folder to see what I did today. I have a hot date tonight and I am hoping to utilize some of the very same equipment-- harness and what not.
