tomorrow I find out about surgery. I think I'm going to puke. If I knew it wouldn't land me into a big sobbing mess, I would go out and get so incredibly wasted tonight.blackeyed

after this semester ends i will go to academy for basically two semesters (32 weeks i think?). there are 24 credits worth of classed that you get for completing academy... i may have to take one or two classes after that.

by the way, someone told me once that the right choice is the one that you made.

...for whatever that is worth. wink

Those multi person conference calls can be brutal extremely difficult to get a read on the entire roomyou strike me as a very competent personbeing chosen even if you reject the offer is good for the soul

Saturday I hung at the beach all day. The waves were SICK! Yes I know using the word "sick) in 2010 is not cool and shows my age but..suck it! wink

Sunday I rode my first 50 miles and I'm still im chemo. Makes me feel so good to just ride (though I was a little grumbly towards the end). lol...

have I mentioned lately how much I love riding my bike. it is so weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Can I also mention that when I read "FML" or "fuck my life" it usually leads to me wanting bitch-slap someone. People who write that generally create their own problems or don't appreciate what they have. It's amazing that people in the most dire situations are still grateful and are...

While we're on the word fuck, Minnesotans only say motherfucker as a 2 word deal. They haven't gotten it down as a 1 word expletive. Weird. uff dah.

My hair is growing fast...rad! Since I plan to keep is short it won't be long before I get a cut. It's sort of curly now. strange but cool texture.

I called out today. Feeling icky and though I'm uber responsible with work, getting sick certainly puts things in perspective. We had extra help today. I am missing a catered luncheon provided to our staff...

As of now I have 5 weekly treatments left with one week off in the middle.

I have my big ride about 2 weeks after my last treatment.

I have my surgery right after that (no definite date).

gah I'm freakin out about the surgery part creeping up on me.

I'm glad that I'm heading towards "done" but I'm scared too. I really don't like...

last night I thought someone was breaking into my house. My "weapon" was in another room. I heard a noise like someone was trying to come in my window. My dog was barking..she looked at me (nervous), I looked at her (nervous) then I pushed her off the bed and yelled go sick em! I mean duh that is ONE of her jobs.

She ran...

Ha! This reminds me of a time when, years ago, my wife and I were sleeping and awoke to a huge CRASHING sound in our bedroom, which also elicited a scream from my wife. Nothing quite as disconcerting as being awakened in such a fashion. In my disoriented, not-quite-awake-yet brain, I thought someone had broken our bedroom window and gained entry to the house.

As I became fully awake & alert, I found that I had instinctually pounced on my wife in a protective manner and was looking around wildly for the threat. I soon realized the source of the crashing. One of our cats had jumped up on a high shelf in the room, sending the shelf and all of its contents tumbling down all over the bedroom dresser and floor.

My wife, realizing I had been so quick to protect her, was very impressed. A story she loves to tell over and over through the years. She fancies me quite the hero now. biggrin I just hope I never have to fend off anything more than a curious cat!

Group Ride=fail

Two of us showed on time. 3 were late..very late and one was a no-show.

The plan was to ride MLK and out to and around the Mann. MLK drive closed to bikers due to a tri race.

Hit a HUGE pothole, got a back flat. While fixing the back flat, front flatted out. Got frustrated, walked to the shop to get another...

I'm OK. Looks like late this month before I can make it back to Philly. Things are going slower than I'd like, mainly because nobody has any money out here to buy the spare vehicles I'm selling off.
