I haven't been here in a really really long time.

Not sure if anyone is interested anymore, but life is good. I've reached the top of the hill and will soon get to roll down the other side.

Hard work and determination pay off. smile

(I think it's ironic that I now feel a bit like a stranger on this site considering that I met my...

Dmuff and I have become quite fond of going to the beach.
It's amazing how many years I've lived in LA and how few times I've been to the beach.
turbulence:
yeah i am.

i hope some day i'll visit LA again... meeting you two again - at the same time - would be cool!

smile
edmoloko:
Yes, El Paso. You're missing out on some pretty amazing gorditas from Rafa's burritos biggrin

My ergonomic office chair is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on, and it makes my back hurt. Go figure.
whatever

For the last time..Dmuff, fun as he can be to sit on, is NOT...I repeat NOT a chair!
sherrillee:
Funny how my old oak non-ergonomic chair at home fits my ass perfectly and the $700 model in my office gives me back pain....

My first week of work was, well, okay. It's weird not being in the lab, and I don't know if I can get used to this. The people, campus, and commute, are all great. I just think I'm meant to be a scientist. I'm geeky like that. We'll see what happens with the Criminalist interview on Tuesday.

In other news, I think Dmuff had a...

Your geekiness is awesome!

Thank you so much for sharing your boy with me. It was really great to see him.

In other news, I miss you lady. We should all hang again soon.

Also, though I've certainly know a few strippers... I have no idea why their skin is so soft. Perhaps a close proximity to creepy, desperate men is good for the pores?
turbulence:
Pirates ride? wink

Birthday wishes to him! smile

I guess one just can become a stripper *when* having soft skin. Or it's because they are petted a lot tongue

Just when I thought life was on its way to normality, summer school got cancelled at my university due to state budget cuts. I guess I'll have to graduate some other time.

Tomorrow is my first day at my new job. I'm nervous.

Also, I found out that I passed the Criminalist exam, and an interview has been scheduled for me a week from this...

Yes. Some type. It's $1.5 for a pic or something on this discontinued one.

It has been stocked up until September, but Fuji licensed it already I guess.

So the price will rise a little and then fall again smile

Good luck for tomorrow! You will have 2 jobs soon tongue
casper:
thank you! it went well, and its blogged about.

I am afraid that that would be the real Doom machine... an self-aware computer able to re-program herself in a blink of an eye... able to think for real.
That is where you can invent a self-aware biochemical computer immune to solid state computers so they can fight each other while humanity can just stay watching TV without been bother. wink

Dmuff and I were going to go to the beach today, but we woke up to clouds and rain. So, instead, I'm going to clean our home and start getting myself ready for my return to the work force.

I was so eager to get back to work and now that the day is only about a week away, I'm getting a little sad! Dmuff...

The hectic week is over, and LA is covered in a beautiful shade of June gloom.

The trip back home went very well, although it was a bit too short. I got to see my two best friends together for the first time in a couple of years, which was emotional and wonderful. We also went to a traditional Mexican-style wedding and got to spend...

I feel anxious about new things too, but I like them fast...

This week has been a busy one, but I get to breathe a little today.

I have decided to play it safe and hold on to the first job I was offered. I'll be working in Environmental Health and Safety at a university, focusing on science and engineering laboratories. I asked how many labs the campus has, and they said they are not entirely sure...

Looks like things are going to be busy for the next few days. Tomorrow I am volunteering at the LA Marathon at 5:30am. It should be interesting to hand out water instead of run, but I am hoping it will inspire me to start running again after a 2 month break.

Then on Tuesday, I am taking the Criminalist exam with the Sheriff's Dept. This...
