Spring break time means extra time to spend with my kiddos. The rain actually stopped for a day, the clouds parted and the sun came out. I spent an entire glorious day basking in the warm sunshine and getting a chance to soak up that precious vitamin D that is so rare this time of year in the NW. It's a wonder how entertained two little boys can be with nothing more than a couple of PB&J's, two old card board boxes, and one extra large bed sheet on the front lawn; for hours upon hours. I felt like I could relax and pretend that it's middle of summer and that for just this one day, I don't have a care in the world. No looming divorce to worry about, no woes about getting my bearings together with being a single parent, no worries about trying to find a new job. No, none of that. Instead, just the sweet sounds of laughter and love. And the yummy, sticky goodness of peanut butter is not so bad either.
My boys are now with their dad for a few days and I am flying solo. Ahhh, the quiet is so quiet that it's almost a "loud" sort-of quiet, only because it's so noticeable when my boys aren't home. But now the question is... what to do with myself? huummmmm.

_idiom_:
Isn't this where you go out and have a good time?
