I can't sleep...literally, I can't let myself go to bed until six a.m! I'm working the night shift these days and on my days off I still have to stay up so I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next day! It's actually kinda fun, like trying to see how long you can stay up when you're a kid. I love not having the pressure of waking up to the alarm anymore! Working at night is the life for me!
I've been painting up a storm at the new place. I'm doing all shades of pink (I'm sure you didn't get that one huh?) haha...my bedroom will be fairy tale pink, then the hallway is a mauvey brown (which complements pink very well) then I'm doing more of a rose shade of pink in the living room and then fairy tale pink agian for the kitchen cabinets. My counter top is a swirly 70's green so that will of course look awesome with pink! The man at Home Depot think's I'm nuts! Who knew Disney had such an amazing collection of paint colors! I've gotten them all from there.
When I first bought this I knew I was taking on a lot. It's a 1972 and was lived in by an 84 year old women named Doris. Doris didn't do much for upkeep. I love the 70's look but now that I'm there all the time I'm realizing the floors just aren't liveable as is. I just can't bare to move my things in on top of the gross carpet! So, that's one more thing I have to do in the next two weeks. On top of that I'm replacing the kitchen linoleum and making curtains, and cleaning up the yard. This summer it will be roof fixing, and window replacement. I swear I'm going to buy some Bob Villa books and learn how to be a pro at this stuff. Anywho, here are some photos I took of my place so far! Honestly, if you know me you know that this makes me happier than a pig in shit. I love having my own little place and this is so perfect for me! I'm surprised by how many people knock trailers but secretly wish they had a little hunk of aluminum to call their own!

Also, my girl Frankie just moved here from Michigan and we had one of our old school Thursday nights together. It was so amazing to see her and we spent way too much at the bar and stayed up way too late and were way too loud but it was worth it.
