So today at work sucked more than normal and it makes me want to quit.
It's not the work. Work is work. It isn't supposed to be great, happy and full of fun all the time. That's why it's called "work" and not "HappyFunPlayTime". You don't get up and say "Yay! I'm going to HappyFunPlayTime!!"
I accept that.
But today while at an office a co-worker had to "drop the kids off at the pool". Being a large and nasty puke of a person he clogged the toilet. It wasn't bad enough where it overflowed but it wouldn't drain well at all. Nasty stench.
Cut to other co-worker who KNOWS the toilet is broken...who then does the same nasty thing....leaving a toilet filled with feces.
Who does that?!?!? Oh wait....people I work with.
So when break rolls around I hop in a vehicle and head to my house which is like a mile away. Grab my plunger, which I have modified to have a broom handle instead of that tiny "let me get my arm and face right the fuck in the stink" handle.
I fix the toilet. Takes me awhile but it get's taken care of.
"Why?" you may ask..
because I care about how we get a job done. When the company shows up to sit at the new furniture we've installed...do they want a clogged toilet knowing that our company was the only one there and therefore broke it? Most likely not. So I took one for the team. And it wasn't like anyone else was going to do it.
But I want a new job now. I shouldn't have to do that and if I'm in a company where they woudl rather shit on top of another person's shit instead of fixing the issue...well then it's time to move on I think.
This weekend is goign to be fun though. Fridaynight drinking and hanging out with buds. Saturday snowboarding and hurting mysself...Saturdaynight hanging out drinking, soaking in a hot tub and then marathon sex with my lady. *beam* Good times!! Ok...maybe not "marathon" but I'm gonna do my best damnit.
I hope you all are well. Have a happy and safe weekend. If anyone needs anything feel free to let me know and if I can help I will do my best to do so.
Remember: If you're right 90% of the time, why quibble about the remaining 3%? -Unknown

I understand your frustration with that. That sort of thing would make me rethink things too, Especially if I tok one for the tram. I'd figure if I did it once, I'd proably have to do it again. And, after all, the saying is taking ONE for the team... can't be doing that too often
