sometimes all it takes is a tiny shift to allow everything to fall into a more acceptable place.

off the gravel road, onto the paved, and a little less afraid of riding in an airplane. not much more i could ask for tonight.

so long suckas.

feeling 99% contented right now... Lanny gave Carly and I two days off to go to the Okanagan - thank fucking god. I've seriously been thisclose to hanging myself in the freakin' stairwell over things at work for the last little while - they are all long stories and rants. Nothing that needs to be taken out here.

But seriously. I love Lanny. I love...

everbody gives somebody a chance. it's not the nature of the business. but it's up to you to further it. it's a survival of the fittest. simply because too many people wanna do it. i had the chance to run and start my own company and i never looked back. AND everyone understood. even the guy that gave me my start.
electrosky:
a friend of mine moved to nyc and lived there for about a year. she didn't know anyone there when she moved, and still had a great time for the most part. sometimes she'd call on the phone, crying, saying she felt she was being swallowed alive by its abundance and chaos. eventually, she returned to california. anyway, i think knowing a person in a new city is important, but sometimes it can be a bit more liberating when you don't, you know? welp, thanks for commenting in my journal. you have great taste in books, by the way. kundera's words are beautiful. as are your little stars. smile

let me preface this by explaining that i'm getting sick again.

this time i'm concious of it and how it makes me feel and act, but i know that my friends don't understand. which pisses me off even more... it's like, they think they are doing something nice for me by calling me up all day long and suggesting places that i should go with...

I really understand what your saying. well I think I do. Let me start by saying I am sick as well. Not much fun to be sick in this weather. but yeah I feel alone as well sometimes. I have all these images of friends but nobody to really reach out to and pull into the surroundings of my life. I have all these broken plans and voice mail messages but feel like nobody is in my life. here. I feel like I need someone but at the same time am angry at myself for not being ok at being alone. like I should be toughter. I'm used to the constent presence of a person who will dive into the world of me and let me spend time in the curve of their torso. I guess its just something to get used to. hi by the way. I like your profiel pic.
girlblue:
I must say, you've got great taste too! wink

I'm sorry you're feeling sick, but it sounds like you know exactly what you need to do to take care of yourself. I totally understand where you're at right now.

edited b/c I'm a grammar nazi.

alright! it's john k. samson-panty throwing day! the only question is, does he get the victoria's secret specials or the walmart standards... this will depend upon wether or not they play my favourite chords.

and here's a tidbit that brightended up my otherwise treacherous morning:

here is the top six off the Globe and Mail's weekly national bestsellers list - as in all across canada...

Hello.

Well then, hopefully, this weekend will be better, collectively. It sounds like yours is off to a good start!

A pleasure to meeet you, btw. smile

PS - How did the panty-throwing turn out?

i feel funny today...

there's an air of intimidation to everything... i'm a little scared about some things, and excited about others. like part of me has a brand new crush, and the other part is fucking exhaused and frustrated.

I was supposed to have a session with larry and his superstar singer today, and so I was going to post this story up here for folks to get a little history on the situation. It turns out that the singer has been invited to LA with an un-named man for three weeks, so the whole project is postponed. thank my lucky stars, oy vey!...

lmfao!

every time i hear about this it just gets funnier. i wonder how Larry feels about Ms. Thang's unnamed "friend" L.A.? maybe, if we're all reallyreally lucky, he'll pour it all out into another epic rock opera.

possible titles?

okay. spontaneous adventures to small hick towns can be fun. i'm really glad i let them twist my arm into that trip... the drive down was amazing. i don't get out of the city nearly often enough, and driving through canary-yellow canola fields under a pink and purple sunset sky whilst singing along to the get up kids four minute mile fucking ruled. that album...

okay. i've got a few big journal entries brewing in me right now. in the meantime here's this:

walter sear will you marry me? or at least love me. this man knows what I want to know. with that in mind I've been doing some major thinking on the state of my life: if you want something, go and get it.
