I'm truly bummed. I have all the Spirit hardcovers so far and most of his graphic novels. The Spirts have never looked better (even the ones by Lou Fine, ect when Eisner was in the military). I've always wanted an original Spirit Page, but while he was alive, he only sold complete stories for prices WAAAY beyond my price range. Not likely his work will go down in price, and with Denis Kitchen presumably in charge of his estate (at least the Artwork), I imagine he will continue to uphold Eisner's stipulations when selling the artwork. Maybe some day I'll proudly own a piece - I believe that most if not all the original pages exist, wisely saved by Eisner himself. That shit belongs in a museum!!!

that was exactly the scene i was looking for during my brief stint back in TX over Christmas, but those kinds of diners are getting far too rare down there, now that the soulless wasteland of chain joints is taking over the entire run of Interstate 35 all the way from Dallas to the coast.

I have a friend who bought a TINY camera to wear around her neck. It'd be nice to always have one on hand. If I could afford it, I prolly woulda gotten a camera phone. But seeing as I'm broke, and this phone was free, and a camera phone would be several hundred dollers
