Vegas was fun. Stayed at The Aria for the first two nights and the place was epic. Newest Casino Hotel on the strip. Amazing place. Huge. Really cool touchpanel next to the bed that controlled everything, lights, TV, AC, even the curtain. Room was gorgeous, and our view was breathtaking. Actually had a good time with the Mrs for a couple days.....and then....she went back to miserable. She lost some money, got grumpy and then accused me of being selfish and not understanding and not comforting her....well, I did what I could, but it was MY vacation too and I didn't feel like being her crutch for the last 3 days, while she sulked, so I passed her off to one of her friends that was along for the trip. Haha.
We go with a group of people every year and they are all a blast to hang out with. There were 14 of us this year. Most we've ever had is 21, lowest was 8 before we started going. Most of the group are pretty well off, so we kinda limp along with these high rollers, ha. It used to be way more enjoyable before kids and I could blow a few grand and not give a shit about it. Those days are gone right now.
We moved to the Planet Hollywood Casino Monday through Thursday, which was nice, but a huge step down from The Aria. The Casino was actually too loud and trendy for me. It was like they were trying too hard to be cool. Didn't like it. We did have fun at Ceasers and Monte Carlo, and enjoyed The Hard Rock, but we all lost money there.
Overall, I won at craps, lost at Blackjack and various other table games, and lost a tiny bit at Poker, although I did not play as much as I pledged I would. I think I put in about 8 hours total in 5 days. Pitiful. Played one small tournament and I cashed, but it was peanuts. Overall, I lost about $400, but I took $1K, so coming home from Vegas with money is a WIN.
Can't wait to go back. Maybe with different company....
