GAWD I HATE MY JOB!

There are so many, many politics involved in my job, it makes it very difficult to get anything done. For instance, (and this is boring, so just skip down if you feel like it) our contract was up at the end of April with the lawn contractor. He gave me a new bid, which was way higher than last year's,...

Ahhh, that's an interesting inspiration for the design, but it's nice smile Would that design have been over the end of the machine? I've always had an interest in fashion, although ironically, I have no dress sense of my own and have to copy my wardrobe from TV and Filmblush

Tuesday.

I hate it here.

I miss living up north; living in the city, being surrounded by close friends and family, museums, clubs, bars, shopping.

I miss living down south; living in the middle of nowhere and being surrounded by coyotes, barn owls, lizards, snakes, woodpeckers, finches, trees, gardens, hiking, birdwatching, camping.

This town right in the middle is small, but dirty. People born and...

uh huh , wanderlust , I usually get that (the grass is greener on the other side ) thing no matter where I go , I may be taking several big trips this summer to satisfy my travel hunger ,
1. paid vacation , national park passes and takin the bikes to sanfransisco to visit a friend with my buddie erik
2.big motorcycle swap meet in Ohio (mid ohio)?
3. off to Sisterluvin Virginia on the bike to visit an old co-worker who got married and moved away

It sounds like you have a wicked cool job. After an extended absence from school, I have returned and am working on by BA/MA in Russian language. I have a minor in History, that is why I was so intrigued by where you work. I wish I could help you with new music but I tend to get behind. I used to be a college radio DJ so I could have helped you then. Oh well. mad

Ummm...by the way, are you not in NY now?

OH MY GAWD tonight was like a high school flash back.

I told my friend that I had a crush on a guy at the bar, she told her boyfriend, who told the guy, who then told my friend's boyfriend to tell her to tell me that he thought I was fucking hot....and it just goes on from there.

I graduated high school 15 years...

Got my new eye glasses last night! Haven't been wearing any since New Year's Eve, when I lost my favorite pair. Needed a new prescription, I didn't realize how much worse my eyesight had gotten, bummer.

Went out to see Mike Barfield & his band last night. It was a good show, but there were only 7 people there. And I think only 4 of...

You work in a museum, that is so cool. What kind? As per CDs, well, I've got a Stanley Bros. bluegrass gospel CD, The Real MacKenzies "Oot & Aboot", Killing Joke's new one, the new Descendants and the new Ministry. I haven't got my stereo set up just now so I haven't even had the chance to listen to them. mad (The angry face is just my mojo, all my stuff has it.)

I love vodka! Bloody Marys, Kamakazi, Vokda Martini, Stoi, Grey Goose, Skyy, straigh vodka, flavored vodka, Vodka Tonic with a twist of lime.

I'm on my way to a bloody mary right now! It's been one of those days...weeks actually. Not sleeping well, stressed out, my cats are pissed off because I'm working too many hours and not paying attention to them. Laundry out of...

Yes yes - have 2 or 3. It's good for the soul sometimes......

Yes, I will have to stay away from Charlie's crazy cousing. But I never know when he is going to show up....... He is usually ok if he isn't drinking much - but last night he was tanked when I saw him........ he was just embarrassing - talking about inappropriate shit.

Oh well - and I suppose we were celebrating Cinco de Mayo, at least all the bars were. I just saw it as a night out.

Hopefully your life will be less stressful in the future and you can get some more sleep..........

adios bonita........ love

I'm new here, so forgive me as I stumble around this site until I get my bearings.

I'm here to meet some new people. I live in a town where there's not much of a "fringe element", if you catch my drift. More later!

Yes - sometimes we do have to 'rise above it all' and who cares if it sounds corny - metaphorically it works. Must be nice to get free drinks at the bars. I am still trying to work on that...... but I think I would have to go to the gay bars for that - and sooner or later, the jig would be up as I would not put out. Not that I am homophobic or anything - that's just not my bag. I prefer women.

I would not work if I was wealthy in the typical sense - but I would still keep busy with the numerous hobbies I have - silversmithing, welding, working on cars, drawing, making music, web design and graphic arts.

How about you? Would you work if you were wealthy?
redheaddevil:
Yes, probably teaching art. I would love to teach, but don't have the inclination to go back for my masters right now. Plus the salary isn't any better than what I'm making now (peanuts).

I didn't know you did silversmithing! I took a couple of semesters of jewelry/metalsmithing in college. Fun stuff!
