RRecently i have been awash in alot from my cjildhood wnd past from old friends popping up to music and movies. I love thinking of my past memories even if the end result is sadness because there is no way to go back. Recent music to hit me is from the band Toto and the songs "Africa" and "Roseanna". My tiny truck speakers could not be loud enough. An old movie of "Slapshot" and "Permanent Record" just floor me. Two of my all time favorites. Cant make it through "Permanent Record " without crying nor "Slapshot" without wanting to lace them up and after game locker rooms. And an old friend just popped into my life again through social media. He has really done so well for himself following his dreams and making a wonderful life for himself. Lee Whitaker was a brotherfrom high school. Inseparable. Rugby brothers. Lived in adjecent neighborhoods. Lived alot of life rogether before he moved to florida. He just had a movie critically reviewed and raved at in Sundance called "Chasing Bullterflies". I am going to search that out and watch. Where did all the time go? Where did all the optimism and hope go? Where along the way did dreams fade? I dont know. But its days like today that i remember and get energised that its not to late to live laugh and love. Ladies and gentlemen please live for today and build for tomorrow. Lets do this not only for ourselves, but for each other. Honor our friends, our loved ones, our cherished memories and past by living today well.
