- Yes It is, but also it is a rather terrifying truth that men, whether aware of it or not, are in a sense compelled to conflict for these reasons. Self propagation of genetic information requires it. The survival of our species, the evolution of it's resiliency, necessitates this conflict. While it may not always result in the base, animalistic violence of war, the conflict is there. Oddly enough a line in Futurama got it very right. I just got back from a 5 day outing to Northampton MA.
I have a beard, my clothing is dirty, and I haven't slept in some time.
