Well, I did it and I'm home safe and sound. In 44 days (6 weeks and 1 day) I crossed the North American Continent twice, I saw 2 oceans, saw parts of 25 states, and rode 9,080 miles. My riding temperatures ranges from 54 degrees to 105 degrees I saw this great country from the seat of a motorcycle, not stuffed in a car with air conditioning. I got to feel the chill, the heat, the rain, and the bugs (yuck) and smell the smells of cities, farms, mountains, rivers, and oceans. What a journey it has been! I couldn't have done it without the support of my family and friends. It wasn't without challenges, 6 weeks away from home by yourself gets lonely. Some of what I saw, Wrigley Field, Lambeau Field, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Sturgis, Yellowstone, Rt.50 through Nevada (The loneliest Road in America), Tahoe, Napa, Vegas, Death Valley, Maggie's Diner (Wild Hogs), a corner in Winslow Arizona, Rt.66, OKC memorial, the Tail of a Dragon, The Pacific and The Atlantic. Now to work on my next trip!

i rode the dragon once in a semi-truck. when i got to my receiver the guy asked me which way i came up. when i told him the hwy, he responded, "YOU CAME UP THE DRAGON ?!?!?!!!!" lol it is a pretty ride though... the trailer tires would be on the solid line in the other direction in the curves

I used to smoke, a long long time ago and quit for work so I kind of get the whole peer pressure thing BUT. It's not like nobody knows what those cigarettes are going to...

I totally agree, I'll even think someone is hot but if they pull out a cigarette it's like attractiveness gone. I don't even like the smell, if someone who has been smoking stands next to me when they've just finished.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Boston, MA Fire Department, all the firefighters and to the families and friends of the two BFD firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty yesterday. It's hard to listen to the audio of the radio traffic, herring the repeated calls for water, the mayday, the low air alarm, and the PASS alarm. Being on...
