Wow!

Long time, no see eh?

I haven't written an entry in over a month, and I haven't read people's blogs since Christmas.

I spend most of my time laying on my couch, drifting in and out of sleep.

If you haven't read my last entry, go back and read it (it's brief) so you'll know what I'm talking about.

Here's the update on me...

Thank you!

I hope you get things sorted out soon. How frustrating that it takes so long to see your doctor! I guess you can't just get a new one, eh? Damn small towns. If we ever move out into the country (as we'd really like to, providing we could find me a job or something so we could actually afford to eat and all that), it's good to know. The things we city-slickers take for granted. wink

The container that I'm keeping the business cards I'm collecting for you is pretty much full. Is there an address I can send them to, seeing as how we probably won't be seeing each other in person any time soon? (Like a PO box or something? I'm not asking for your home address, no worries!)

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm so sorry you are battling such crushing fatigue. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to know something is wrong and not being able to pin down what it is. Take care of yourself for me. I'll be praying for you. I miss talking to you. HUGS!!

I'm so tired.

Exhausted.

Fatigued.

Lethargic.

Most of the time I feel like I'm only barely awake.

Days go by, and I have nothing to show for it.

I'm so physically and mentally exhausted, it's a wonder that I'm awake at all.

As you may have noticed, once again I haven't been keeping up-to-date with people.

I blame the exhaustion.

A lot of the time...

I'm so sorry you are feeling so worn down. I have some idea of how you feel, and dealing with crushing fatigue is truly awful. I hope the docs can figure out what is wrong. Take care of yourself, hon. Hugs!!

thanks sweetie...i miss people like you even if i'm not always in "constant" touch...I hope you are okay...kiss

It's Christmas time!

I know some of you really hate Christmas.

You don't like the religious aspect.

You don't like the commercial aspect.

I LOVE Christmas!

I'm barely Christian.

(Basically, I feel like I've had no choice but to give up on Christianity due to all the right-wing hate that has become synonomous with the faith).

I've never really celebrated Christmas as a religious holiday....

should we start calling Hannukah "Fancy Candle Time"

That's comedy genius right there my friend. biggrin

I know what you mean about the whole gift thing, I always spend probably too much on people, I'm not saying that to make me seem better because I do that, it's just a fact. You might find it interesting to know that one of my friends is a devout christian and we get on like best mates despite my being an atheist, I'm always winding her up about it. She told me she doesn't go out on Sunday 'cause it's the day of rest so I said "how d'you get to church do you have an elaborate tunnel system under your house or something?"biggrin . Hope you had a nice Christmas and a good new year man. smile

I was on SG for once >gasp!< and just wanted to say hi! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Hugs!!

Just a quick update.

I weighed myself last week.

224 pounds.

I was at 350 when I had my weight loss surgery just about four years ago.

I rarely weigh myself.

In fact, I haven't weighed myself in about a year. I worry that if I weigh myself more regularly, I'll get hooked on doing it, and start weighing myself daily, or even worse, weighing...

Sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment, but I wanted to make sure you don't feel bad for not writing to me when I was really depressed...I was ignoring everyone at the time anyway!

I'm doing better, well I'm feeling better, despite the fact that my situation is getting more and more confusing all the time.

You look nice in the new profile pic - who's the lady?
taoandcoffee:
Thanks for the birthday wishes - and I'm not afraid of a little manly hug between friends wink

Let's try this again....

Yeah, I continued my disappearing act, even after apologizing for it and promising to catch up with everyone.

I know some of you have said that I don't need to apologize, but I still feel like it.

I've had a nasty habit, my whole life, of going through periods where I disappear for so long that I end up losing friends....

Hello!

Remember me?

Yes, I'm alive. And reasonably well.

Sorry I haven't been around. I haven't posted an entry in ages, and I've been neglecting my friends here.

I wish I had an excuse for it. But I've been fine.

I mean, mood-wise, I've been doing alright, so I can't really blame my depression.

I guess I just haven't been feeling as socialble as usual....

Hey, glad to hear you're doing well mood-wise. I kinda miss you being around- although I'm really crappy at the whole replying thing, too. I do value your friendship and I'm going to try to do better. Take care of yourself. Hope to hear from you soon. Hugs!

I'm drawing a blank on what to talk about.

Which is really sad, considering I only write about once a month.

So, since I can't think of anything to say, I'll do what I've seen a few people do and pimp my other pages.

Starting with, yes, MySpace.

Okay, I know that it's just about the worst designed site known to mankind. You'd think that...

So my birthday is July 14.

I used to be pretty much indifferent to my birthdays.

Even as a child, I didn't make a big fuss over it.

I mean, I liked getting cards and gifts.

But I never really felt like the day itself was particularily significant.

Some people would ask the lame joke-question, "Do you feel any older?".

I say joke-question, because no,...

Hey! Thanks! I had a nice, quiet, sedate, 'I'm getting too old for this shit' type of birthday! 35 so I watched "The Departed" with a bottle of pink champagne and lots of cake! smile

SECOND ATTEMPT - STUPID SG WON'T LET ME EDIT MY ENTRY

I had a great time at the gala in Toronto.

As you know, I'm quite shy, and always get very nervous about attending big social events.

The evening started really well when I somehow managed to get a parking space literally right in front of the club.

(As an aside, the club, Stone's Place,...

Warning!

This entry will be brief.

So if you were expecting my usual long-windedness, sorry.

I'm going away for a few days.

Then I'll be back for a few days.

Then I'm going away for a few more days.

Both times I'm going with my mom to Welland. My aunt and uncle are going away for a couple weeks, so my mom wants to spend...

I've gone on a bit of a shopping spree the last couple weeks.

Thank God for credit cards!

I have bought a whole lot of clothes.

Most of my existing wardrobe is clothing that was loose even before I lost over 100 pounds.

So between baggy sweatpants and baggy t-shirts, I looked pretty bad.

I've always dressed pretty casually, but even I realized I was...

my trouble is staying asleep...i seem to fall asleep okay because i'm so sleep deprived but i always wake up and can't sleep the rest of the night. these days it's 3am wakeups for me....with weird early sleep cycle napping on and off until i get up.

they were chocolate ginger crepes with caramel and walnuts with a side of strawberries and some nice fruit sauce....sooo delicious.
