I am consistently amazed at the bizarre array of images that people are willing to permanently emblazon their skin with these days.

Seriously, I think I'm going to invest in a tattoo removal business. When all these people try to enter the workforce someday and find that nobody will hire you with a flaming skull on your neck, they'll come calling. biggrin

You really do have to be sure what you have is meaningful and is something that you will want for the rest of your life.

My mom was going to let me get a tattoo when I was 15, and I didn't do it, because I wanted to be sure I really wanted it. 3 years later, I got the exact thing 3 days after I turned 18!! smile

Maybe it's the weather, but this place seems like a tomb all of a sudden...

You're just noticing? Man, I was kinda bummed last week, but I've gotten kinda used to it and maybe it's picked up for me. For one thing, I thought (maybe I'm wrong) you were out shagging/ dating all the time. A lotta folks are in post-semester busy-ness, moving and graduating and crap.

Haha, I was pretty wasted when I wrote my last comment. "God?" Hahaha.

But still, I wasn't drunk at the show, and I don't remember the dude coming out. I think I went to the bathroom during their set, but I still think I would have seen the guy coming on or leaving. Man, this is so weird.
peggy:
hahahaha, he's actually far from a creep. Even my son didn't want him to leave. Really cool guy, we watched a lot of Izzard.

Sometimes, it's the things you aren't asked to do that lets you know who your friends really are.

What a boring fucking day. I have absolutely nothing to do, nothing to say.

I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Post for me your 5 favorite songs of right now...not all-time, just what you like right now. I'll start.

1. Interpol - Not Even Jail
2. Modest Mouse - One Chance
3. Matthew Sweet - Divine Intervention
4. Mike Doughty - Ossining
5. Magnetic Fields -...

I tend to agree there... thing is, I can usually watch the first movie of a blockbuster string. For instance, I had considered myself a Star Wars hater, but if you watch the first one (which, uh, I guess is now called Episode 4?) it holds up as (as Ebert said) a throwback to the early adventure serials. Also, I saw/ relatively enjoyed The Fellowship of the Ring and the first Xmen movie... but I didn't go to any of those sequels (and hadn't to any of the new Star Wars ones). And not always for the exact same reason. In the case of the Tolkien, I imagine they'd be of about the same quality. With the Xmen one, I heard frequently it was actually better. With the Star Wars ones, well... I can't imagine they don't guzzle choad... but in all three cases, I'm reminded of the quote (I've written before) by John Carpenter, when asked why he didn't do Halloween 2: "Because it's the same movie... people go to a sequel to see the same movie twice." Ironic that he did Escape from LA (egad; didn't see it).
I think it's tough for directors to make a completely unique cinematic experience. It would be unfair to expect that every time... I try to pick the movies I see with something of a new, unique experience, but it sure is difficult.

I shoulda asked you to hang out last night. I staved off boredom yesterday by biking and watching Sealab 2021 almost all day... but the weather's shitty again, I'm TV'ed out, and am becoming hellabored today.

Hmm. Maybe I should move to Richmond... at least 'til you all (the usual crew) move out.

I couldn't even try to post top 5 if I wanted to. I'm so fickle that it seriously changes by the second. I've made CD's, walked immediately to my car, put the CD in, and skipped most of the songs because I changed my mind. surreal

I feel like a slug.

My head still hurts. And now it itches, too. Fun!

I haven't been sleeping well for about 2 weeks now.

My car needs an oil change.

I need a new sofa.

Internet dating is just bizarre. I could tell you some stories.

I'm so tired all the time.

This year I'm hoping to take a vacation to Thailand. Or maybe...

I love Maine in the Spring and Fall all of it is beautiful no matter what season.
I go to Bristol where I grew up in the summers with my dad and stepmother.
I go to a lighthouse about a mile away from the house called Pemaquid Point.
It is a very magical place I have shared many secrets with.
I have laid on the rocks for days and smoked a lot of joints on her slates.

I always liked Maine better and the strange mix of people that lived there.
My father was friends with a couple of gay priests that believed god was a black woman.
They were nice guys.

I am glad your head is better
Stay well.

Injury update: NoControl is listed as DOUBTFUL for this week's game.

Resident cranky old bastard NoControl suffered a mild concussion last night when, while dreaming that the telephone was ringing, he vaulted himself up out of bed to answer it, smashing with full force into one of the low ceiling beams just above his bed. While sitting upon the bedroom floor, dazed and confused, blood...

To my usual favorites, you know I love you. I need a change of pace, though, so I'm going to start mixing it up a bit. Hope ya don't mind wink

I'm in an uncharacteristically good mood tonight.

So what's up? Not much. I'm home tonight...bored silly...watching the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers play a damn fine basketball game.

Later, I'll probably watch Friday Night Lights...

The love shits are not only painful but long-lasting. It's like the complete opposite of happiness! Or, lollipops! Only lollipops CAN be long-lasting. I guess it's something like lollipops.
