I'm okay, but I really shouldn't make promises/deadlines for myself/you that I can't keep! (sighing/laughing at self).

I missed you but I missed me most.
I'm a heart act to follow sometimes
smooth like butta on ya breakfast toast
Sometimes like a mother of the disappeared

I won't lie I fall in love to easily,
sometimes, I just plain fall
What always, though, amazes me,...

sheer wonder and marvel at the glory of life. grace, beauty, awe, inspiration from life, and that's just the first minute or two. again, my words can't do it justice, but birds are dancers. smile

just realized, that since i've seen that movie i'm always, always bird-conscious...

THE PLACE IN THE WAYS

Having come to this place
I set out once again
on the dark and marvelous way
from where I began:
belief in the love of the world,
woman, spirit, and man.

Having failed in all things
I enter a new age
seeing the old ways as toys,
the houses of a stage
painted and long forgot;
and I find love...

thanks for all the words of happiness!

leiru13:
I am wondering as I read if things ae going better for you than they were last week. I was going to write something about being happy, but I realize that happiness isn't what most of us accomplish anyway. I'm just looking to be content. I almost wrote "complacent" but I think that the two things are different, that complacent suggests a lack of will to make oneself happy, and we all need a little unpolluted happiness sometimes.

Oh well, off to make some mac and cheese.

Hey Bella Bella,

I have a part time warehouse job, usually 3-4 days a week. So I wind up doing nights and weekends, mostly. When I have the rare full day to write I squeeze whatever I can out of it - i try not to talk to anybody, i just get up, make hot tea and turn the computer on. I just got a laptop (Laptop! its name should be sung from sea to sea!) and I'm experimenting with going to 'neutral' places to work - the lybrary, one of GA's lame coffee shops, etc.

I'm on this killer pace right now - Ive done two books this year so far, am working on another and have one due in Dec. I told my publishers that I cant keep this pace up next year without enough cash to live on. Needless to say I'm doing less books frown

Yes, BG is amazing. We aren't always on the same page but our feelings are real and strong. Its still recent (going on three months) so we'll see. But if feelings mean anything, I'm absolutely crazy about her.

I write all kinds of stuff but Im publishing an alternative history fantasy game series. Follow my homepage link if you are interested. It's a semi-living, but I really want to publish fiction. I have a novle that I really want to see on a shelf somewhere!

Okay, I'm currently reading the worst pulp fantasy I have ever put my hands on - The Prisioner of the Horned Helmet. A friend of mine from Seattle got me the series, and I have guilted myself into reading the first one. Trying to read - time will tell if I can get through it. I just finished this cool novel called Dexterity, about a woman who runs from her abusive ahole husband in upstate NY.

How are you liking Book of Dead Birds?

So Bella . . . will you be my internet friend?

be well,

PH

"The Pianist is a work of a very high order in the literature of the Holocaust. Despite everything that happened to Szpilman-- the loss of all of his family and most of his friends--it doesn't contain even a hint of a desire for revenge." - from a review of the book/original version of Wladyslaw Szpilman's "The Pianist."

Sure man... I will let you know. I work so much that I don't ever hang with SGLA, and I feel a little out of place when I have, just cause I don't really know any of those kids, but I will go if you come down for sure. I would be at Barsinister anyway... smile

I think that I may be in SD (maybe) around the 4th of July... so maybe if somethings going on let me know. cool?

I'm in love with the Daily Photo Project Dude.

He reminds me of a longtime boyfriend of mine (wistful sigh) and tons of crushes, immediately following our breakup.

Enjoy (if you're a freak lilke me who's into performance art trippyness such like this)
